Actually, if you look back, it's only really Eminem and Rhianna that have broken the mould. Surely an EDM act will headline soon the way T is going. Imagine that, all those people paying money to watch someone stand there and press a play button.

I agree a dance act will headline sooner or later. Must either be house DJ Calvin Harris once his next album comes out, or a very rare opportunity act like Daft Punk. I can't really think of any other EDM acts quite capable of headlining T. Guetta is massive, but doesn't have quite the same history that Calvin has. And he's crap. Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Fatboy Slim aren't big enough. Swedish House Mafia aren't together. Avicii maybe not big enough.

Depends if you think they've gotten bigger since then. You can make an argument that "Invaders Must Die" took them to the upper tier again, but I don't buy it. I think second stage headliner would be cracking for them.

Where they've played before is largely irrelevant, Biffy have probably played most stages but there's only one they'd play now.

That's a far more relevant argument. I would disagree slightly and while I don't think they'd headline the main stage I don't think they'd go up against a main headliner on the second stage.

The next dance type act to headline will be Daft Punk in the foreseeable future, I cant see anyone else big enough to command that spot, however I do think Chase and Status will get to that point maybe within a couple of albums

Although talking about this is quite moot as The Chem Bros and Moby have headlined before so its not really a new thing expect it not having been for a number of years

What I meant was that they have played there the most amount of times it seems and haven't gotten any bigger since the last time. They've played T since IMD came out and headlined NME and as far as I'm aware they haven't released anything since.

It's hardly a radical idea to say they would play there again, which is what you suggested.

Im presuming you mean history of playing T as David Guetta was headlining superclubs when Calvin Harris was stacking shelves. But your right the only dance act with big enough clout the headline the main stage is Daft Punk. The rest of the big hitters, Chem's, Prodigy are perfect for the Radio 1 stage.

Matt Bellamy has said Muse might do 1 or 2 festivals next year. Do we think T might be a possibility given that they missed Scotland on their stadium tour? Wouldn't be too fussed if it was still doing their 2nd Law tour but there's been talk of a 20th anniversary tour playing a lot more older stuff which would be great.
