Looking at my current rough clashfinder itinerary I've just seen where i plan to see bands , roughly as things tend to change from plans. I also wanted to see how much running around is involved. In 2011 there wasn't much on other stage for me, this year looks like I'm going to see much more.

Anyway here are numbers of acts I'm planning to see Friday to Sunday on each stage

Pyramid 6

Other 5

Acoustic 4

Avalon 3

West holts 2

Cabaret 2

John peel 1

Williams green 1

Leftfield 1

Spirit of 71 1

Crossaint neuf 2

I'm not counting late night stuff

So who's doing what?

I've not gotten to the stage where I've made firm decisions yet apart from headliners and 3 different nights, 3 different stages. I think I will be a bit more all over the place than I was when I went in 2010 but I also think it depends on weather. I know in 2010 I intended to go around more but as it was very hot we decided to camp out a little more at certain stages and watched some bands/acts I really wouldn't have chosen just out of convenience.

I was thinking about this earlier when looking at the "my planner" bit of the app. I'll probably spend most time in Avalon and West Holts, closely followed by the Park, Accoustic and Other. I'm currently only thinking of seeing Elvis Costello on the pyramid.

Fri:

3 - Other

2 - JPT

1 - West holts

Sat:

3 - Pyramid

1 - Other

1 - West holts

Sun:

4 - Other

1 - Pyramid

That is the extent of my planning, might not make all of those, will certainly see other random stuff. The place I'll spend the most time at? Tea tent.

Will be spending a lot of time in the southern areas as usual The Park Field/Stone Circle/Shangri-La with forays to Pyramid, Other & West Holts & beyond. Will also be checking out Williams Green

I like the park but never seen a great deal of music there. It's a pity there doesn't seem anything that will tempt me, although I'm sure I will be up there at some point. It's a drag in mud, but it's a must do

Band-wise it looks like I'll be spending a fair bit of time at Pyramid this year. 1 on Friday, 3 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday. I'll be seeing my first headliner at West Holts on Friday though :) and will inevitably spend a lot of time there in the day time. And even though there's few bands I want to see there I'll spend a lot of time in The Park as it's where we start our day. Hardly anything I want to see on Other this year, just 3 I think.

My main ambition is to spend more time at Arcadia and Shangri La.

There's only one band the other half & I have planned to see, Enter Shikari, & that's because I'm making her. & probably the start of Rolling Stones.

Other than that I am really looking forward to doing more exploring of the areas I've avoided or walked past before. Less rushing, more drinking.

I'd like to see The Hives if I can be arsed to get up & I'm not feeling too shitty.

Williams Green for me, loads of great new stuff there I want to see. And I am intrigued by the stage, looks really big compared with the old Queens head, I think it's going to be buzzing there, having a decent stage with a large area to boogie to in that area. Can't wait

Of "maybe" highlights on the clashfinder, I think Acoustic is most represented.

Don't think I have anything highlighted for Spirit of 71/Glade or Park, but will hopefully spend some time chilling at both.

There aren't many bands that I'm bothered about seeing, so I have no idea where I'll be spending most my time. Probably see a few on the other stage and the rest of the time will be spent wandering and maybe checking out some bands I haven't heard much of.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
