Arsenal v chelsea could give some indication if arsenal are the real deals of just consistent against average sides. I find it tough to call and will predict a draw.

I think Mourinho will play for the draw. The question to me is whether Arsenal have enough to break them down.

I reckon City-Liverpool will be a far more attacking game

yep, me too - two teams that have so far this season worked on the basis of scoring more than the other side, both with leaky defences.

In a way it's a big shame that Aguero is out, tho without him it stands a chance of being a closer match and so a more exciting game.

I think we'll see goals. Not many, but 1-0, 1-1 or 2-1. Can't see Chelsea winning.

I reckon City-Liverpool will be a far more attacking game, but I reckon we'll still see some excellent football tonight.

Checking last seasons result arsenal picked up 2 points out of a potential 18 against man u, man city and chelsea, they have played 2 this season and lost both. Thats works out as 2 points from the last 24 available against those 3 teams which is worse than many bottom half teams. When I look at the squads and how they have played this season there is no reason they cant win, but I always worry when they play one of the "big boys" as it always seems to go the same way!

I think a hell of a lot of people are too keen to find trends to show that Arsenal will bottle it. Not accusing you of that, but I had one idiotic friend going on about 6 years ago when Arsenal were in title races they had poor second halves to the season. Utterly irrelevant.

Genuinely tihnk that we (Sunderland) will score the few goals in premier league history this year. or the most own goals

Oly positive of this season is the fact so many of our players are leaving on frees at the end of the year

I've got a free £20 inplay bet but I have no idea what/who to put in on. A draw is most likely but the odds are pish! Arsenal haven't had a single shot yet..

Talent that's still adapting to a new league. In Mata's first season he didn't perform consistently or against the big boys.

I think Bergkamp and Henry both took some time to adapt as well. You certainly wouldn't expect Ozils first season at Arsenal to be his best.

Whenever sky or MOTD hype up a game to the extent they did for Arsenal-Chelsea, it usually ends in a damp squib.

As I've said, Chelsea and City's key will be their home form, Citt are miles ahead, now Arsenal haven't won in4-5 and everyone is writing them off, maybe unjust seeing as they're joint top of the league, but they really so seem like a confidence team to me.

Liverpool don't have as much quality, but I'd stick my money on them before Arsenal.

Not sure it's about adapting - Ozil had a history of going missing in big games in Spain.

Mourinho the ultimate pragmatist summed up his approach in the press conference. Lose the game and they are 5 points behind top place, draw it and they are only 2. Arsenal knew that would be the approach and I just wanted a little more from them. This isnt a great chelsea team.

Interesting discussion about Cardiff on the times podcast which isnt too far from my thinking. Has Mackay really done a great job as some make out. He finished top in the championship but had the highest net spend. They had one of the highest spends in the premiership this year but have done worse than Hull. Someone mentioned that without Tan Mackay would probably be a championship/league 1 manager srtuggling on a shoestring budget with no hope of a million pound payout if sacked.
