Next week will be the longest week ever!

I really don't want to have to be bothered with this week at all. I want to just have the week off to get ready. When I say get ready, I mean lie on the sofa with my iPad on efests!

The last week dragged massively so I hope this one speeds the hell up. I am seeing Patti Smith on Wednesday which should help :)

I will still be on here way more than I should though, especially as I will be quite busy at work.

Gah! Excitement levels are stupid now. And nervousness too, particularly regarding weather. But once it gets to Friday I'll consider myself done. I am working the following Monday but I won't be there in spirit. My spirit will have upped and left to Worthy Farm.

Six days left at work - and a busy week at that, which is probably a good thing otherwise I'd just spend all day every day staring at the Clashfinder getting stressed.

We're off to Zoo Lates at London Zoo on Friday so that'll help to distract me from 100% Glastobation, what with there being sea otters and owls and other cute things for me to look at (and beer, obvs).

I'm two and a half hours in to my last shift before the festival. I finish at 7:30am tomorrow, got a few things planned for the week but while it will be lovely to not be at work, filling all that time is going to be incredibly difficult, I'll be bouncing off the walls by next Tuesday!

Gonna spend my days looking at the Clashfinder, looking at my favourite Glasto sets, setting up and taking down the tent and then to top it off on Friday I've got a night out in Brighton to look forward to.

All in all not a bad build up to Glastonbury at all!

Next weekend have a little reunion, including meeting up with a good friend who emigrated to New Zealand 3 years back... After that I'll Mon and Tues off, so Friday morning is the real start of it all for me. Until then, four days of work to go. Think I need something to fill my Tuesday and/or Wednesday night. Hopefully a meet up with my transport for the festival to make plans, if not I'll have to find a gig to go to!

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
