It stops your hair from looking greasy, but it still looks dull and feels like cardboard. For me I'd rather bite the bullet and get Mr Amf to throw cold water over my head so I can shampoo it properly. Worth having in reserve though, it does a job.

I use Batiste and it's great, even use it at home inbetween washes. It can make your hair a bit matted and clumpy after a few days, but still much better than leaving it to go greasy and limp. Just be careful how much you put on and try to use as little as possible. Try it out before you go.

My hairdresser gave me one bit of advice last time which really helped and that is use it from day 1. If you wait until your hair is already greasy it doesn't work as well. I put it in everyday last time starting from before I even got there after my final shower before Glasto and I don't think my hair ever got too bad.

I usually just use dry shampoo to freshen up my hair when it's starting to look greasy, although I have tried the Nilaqua stuff and thought it was pretty good and didn't make my hair look greasy at all, I guess it depends on your hair type. To be fair you can probably get away with just using dry shampoo for the weekend :)

I think Batiste is pretty good. I always take it. I'm a brunette (by choice at least) but I don't like the dark stuff as I find it gets all over my hands, so I try to just blend it in.

I usually try and wash my hair by my tent with a bottle of warmed-up water at least once but it's not always a pleasant experience!

One thing I've learned to accept at Glastonbury that I struggle to accept in normal life: my hair will be shit and is entirely out of my control. Liberating, in a way.

Check out Aldi today then, as Batiste dry shampoo is on sale as a special offer. If it runs out, you could try the caravan cleaner which is also on offer?

One of the things I miss is back in 2003, you would see everyone visually deteriorate as the festival went on- there was a feeling of liberation and solidarity as everyone started looking rougher and rougher with every passing day.

Nowadays everyone seems to look immaculate from start to finish- men and women smooth-faced and pristine of hair. Meanwhile I start to physically deteriorate the instant I step through the gates- dark shadows under eyes that deepen with every passing minute, bloodshot eyeballs, stubble growing at the rate of teenwolf, hair dried, puffed up and greasy at the same time.

Surrounded by immaculate folks, I feel increasingly self conscious- by the saturday I am cloaked with a cowl and only leave my tent upon nightfall...

I would like it if people stopped worrying about how they looked for a few days, partly because I would feel at one with my fellow festival goer, and also because it used to be a bit more fun, everyone not bothering or worrying about how they looked (at least for a for a few days!).

This. Although in recent years I have found a love of the greenpeace showers on a warm afternoon. The refreshed feeling is like a tonic, not really concerned about the grime so much, just the invigorating effect of water and fresh air.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
