We had 4 single matresses in the bell tent,they could of been doubles.

We stayed in a bell tent this year for various reasons, 1 being that we would be arriving on site late. I'll probably be back to normal camping next year if I get tickets but I'd defo recommend giving it a try if there are are a few of you to throw in coin for it.

Pros: Not waking up in an oven plus they had little ventilation flaps all around the tent which was lovely with the breeze.

So much space, you could fit a snooker table in there and still have room to take your shots (ignoring the centre pole).

Cons: The hill was a killer, it makes the hill of death look like a steady slope. It'd only be worth climbing once a day & not being inside the fence I felt I was slightly missing out.

Questionnaire just been sent out to all the people who stayed at Worthy View, maybe if a few people put down that they would like a ski type chair lift it might save that walk up the Hill of Death after a long day.

But room service would also be nice along with a Corby trouser press

£200 cheaper than G but pointless really as its only a 10 minute walk to the campsite so I bring my own canvas tent.

It was quiet and clean and felt safe. Toilets sucked but other than that i'm perfectly happy with the money I spent. Also the walk up the hill was good exercise! Who cares if it was soulless.

I didn't find it soulless at all, I suppose it depended on whether your getting up/in time coincided with your neighbours whether your made friends, but we seemed to meet and talk to a lot more people around us than we usually do. However unlike camping within the fence to option of going back to the tent for a bit of a rest is limited, so as a result probably for some it might restrict their socialising (especially for campfire/gazebo sitters) but for me it meant more time enjoying the festival.

As for soulless I am not convinced but one thing it definitely was arsehole less, no non stop nocturnal tomtom drummers, tent thieves, idiots who spend all night outside your tent loudly asking everyone who passes if they want to buy some drugs, those who leave a loads of rubbish outside your tent, others who fall on your tent at 3:30am in the morning and of course those lovely folk who think the back of your tent is a great place to piss every night. Hmm! As a matter of opinion soulless it might be, but give me arseholeless everday and I am happy.

Is WV just normal tents that are already set up or do they do bell tents/yurts etc too? Not much info on the website at the moment.

First time going to Glasto and getting the bus from Bristol. Bus station at Glasto looks to be at the opposite side of the site to WV. Is there a way of getting over or do you have to walk it?

Your car is a short walk away. They pump up your air bed for you according to this thread too.

I'll be taking pillows and a duvet, and keep a coolbox in the car if I get my yurt!!

A question for previous inhabitants of WV. Are you per allocated your tent or is it first arrivals choose the best spots for their tent type?
