The National "Alligator": love, sex and booze. It's a an emotional journey till you get rewarded with Mr November

Lcd Soundsystem "Sound of silver": a tale of belongings and losses, of naked feelings.

From this year lineup i would say "Exyle on main street" by the Stones

I buy 99% of my music in album format and listen to it start to finish, I think it's a combination of vinyl and CDs being my main mediums rather than iPatches or whathaveyou, and also OCD.

As a child of vinyl, I do now, and always have, been an album guy.

I always listen to albums rather than playlists/shuffles/whatever. There are some I skip the odd track on but that's it. TBH if there's more than 2/3 fillers or dogs on an album I kind of fall out with it (yes I know I'm odd) and rarely listen to it.

Evening everyone, here's my two cents.

Stevie Wonder - Innervisions

And from this festie, Nas - Illmatic

ha, just had this thought when posting in another thread but when ever I play Neutral Milk Hotel 'In the aeroplane over the sea' I have to listen from start to finish..If I play one track it kinda misses something if it isnt followed by what I am expecting next... is that sad?

Most albums for the first 6 months or so.. Peace, Palma Violets, Foals for example are on heavy rotation at the minute.

The Libertines - Up The Bracket, The Strokes - Is This it, The Heartbreakers - LAMF and, 'Glastonbury-Wise', The Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.. tend to be some of those that, long-term, I can't help but listen to one track and not play the lot.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
