Seeing Chic at Bestival so i'll count them out. Gutted I'll miss Nas & Portishead but my friends will probably make the decision for me & choose Arctic Monkeys who I wouldn't mind seeing anyway. Also gives me leverage to use with other clashes

Last time Chic played Bestival, the crowd didn't have a clue who they were, and didn't know the songs. Yes - REALLY!!!

It's the worst that I've seen Chic because of it. They work best when they have a crowd that feel them - and nothing will feel them like that Friday night crowd at Glasto.

Friday headliners looks like car crash stuff. 4 acts I'd love to see, think I can rule out the Monkeys, seem them 4 times and never great on bigger stages IMO, no atmosphere or showmanship in them. Probably Chic vs Portishead.

Portishead for me. They are great live, and rarely seem to play the UK nowadays, so that'll be a must see for me. Chic are fun, but they play a lot (relatively)

Artic monkeys bore me live, and they'll do a million gigs around the album anyway

It's between Nas and Chic for me and as i don't really listen to either i reckon it'll be Chic having heard good things and i'm a lover of the bass. I've obviously heard a few Chic songs but like that they play covers too!

Chic Vs. Arctics for me..

Wouldn't mind Arctics and the likely hood is they will be a let and I'll get another chance to see them..but I have a suspicion this might be the time they actually pull it off!

But Chic is going be the set of the weekend....think I might go to Arctics and if its their usual bollocks head to Chic.
