Weather (pointless build up thread)

Don't really care who headlines or what the weather is as its all good fun, obviously a dry slightly cloudy and sunny one is preferable but the mud is entertaining.

However I just found a bookmark to jackone's weather thread at netweather that started in May....18 weeks till Glasto, 10 weeks till weather build up :-) (17.5 weeks until its anywhere near accurate though)

Just thought I would share that. Loving the line up build up and speculation when it stays fairly sensible and realistic without the juvenile jibes ;-)

Still excited reckon it will be dry after mega wash out last year....

Have been staying near the site recently and it looks like they have been putting in lots of extra drainage. The site is completely saturated though, we had a carnival meeting (one of the charities) and there is doubt about whether the site will dry out in time....with 18 weeks!

Edit: i.e. we need a dry festival and bring yer wellies.

Langdale Wolf started iirc (Remember him being a Wolves fan), if memory serves me right he was retiring from Glastonbury/festivals in general has he was starting a family with his wife, and wanted one last hot Glastonbury to go out with a bang with.

Well he certainly got his wish that year :)

Indeed the wind in 2010 was very amusing, in particular a gazebo where we were camped that decided to loosen it's mooring a float off into the sunset.... most amusing :)

I would prefer this year to be in the mid 20's with a touch of cloud and light breeze, with no rain, just for my poor Brother , who is carrying a bit of timber and struggled through the heat of 2010, and indeed the mud of 2011 :)

I'm hoping for a week of glorious sunshine, no fecking rain and no fecking clouds either.

Couldn't care less if there isn't a bit of wind, there's plenty of stand pipes for free water around the site, we'll have plenty sunscreen with us and a mani hat each.

Lets be honest, no matter how hot it gets it ain't gonna be as warm as bennicassim or coachella. Plus once the sun goes down it can get chilly quickly.

Waking up with a hangover in a roasting tent is uncomfortable, but it is a small price to pay for a dry Glastonbury!

Weather thread, oh weather thread,

You've been such a miss,

Like the long drop toilets,

And the strong smell of Brothers......
