I am Kloot have a new album out next week, the serial Glasto performers will surely be making an appearance again as John Bramwell loves the place . The new album is produced by Guy Garvey as was their album Natural History who many people think is their best. I only got into them after the Queens head performance in 2010, although people on this site had been banging on about them so i had to check it out beforehand, and what a lovely surprise i got! I saw them again that summer at Greenwich park in the sun, lovely. Unfortunate to miss them in 2011 on the Jp stage due to clashes and the mud. I am really looking forward to the new album and it will be intersting to see where they play this year.

I didnt enjoy sky at night that much, it had far too much guy garvey influence for me (strings strings and more strings). I am hoping his fat sweaty hands arent all over the new one too, as they used to be one of my favourite bands

i hadn't thought about that, but still liked the album, i'd agree the earlier stuff was a lot edgier but John Bramwells lyrics still shine through all of them, the guys writes great songs, bumped into him between stages in 2010, off his face

yep he is a top man indeed. Funny to think that i am kloot looked like the more likely band to make it huge out of them and elbow 10 years ago, and now elbow are headlining festivals and playing arenas.

I'm going to see kloot at the barbican next month, looking forward to it

Cool, have a good time, no money for gigs at the moment so i'll be lusting for glasto, am already I think Guy Garvey ( another top bloke by the way ) might realise this and is trying to help in his way to get them there, they've known each other since they were 17 apparently.

who got the new album?

I listened to it today for the first time. Probably some songs are growers but for me it's not up their with their best work. The elbow influence isnt too heavy on about 6 songs, but on the others guy garvey's touch is painfully obvious, none more so than on These Days Are Mine, which is an absolute turd of a track.

I've got a ticket to see them at the barbican next month, but considering they will play a lot of this album I think I'm going to sell my ticket

They might play a lot of the album, but some tracks are best not performed live, they will probably substitute those for thier good stuff, " My favorite Sky ', Storm warning", Proof " are all done at their gigs, would be worthwhile still going i reckon, john bramwell always has some witty banter with the fans as well.

The Dutch website http://www.festivalinfo.nl/ are running an article claiming I Am Kloot have confirmed. Doesn't say what the source is but it's a very reliable site that, in my experience of using it for a good few years now, wouldn't post it up if it wasn't based on something concrete.

I think they were one of the bands i would have expected to be there but glad to have it confirmed. I really like the new album. As an Elbow fan I don't mind the Guy Garvey effect! Actually think it's quite admirable that Elbow do so much to help a fellow local band.

I like their new album and have a feeling it will grow on me. I recently heard the mini album John released in the 80s (you, me and the alarm clock) and was blown away, I hope they play a few of the songs off it at Glastonbury.

Their latest album has gone in charts at number 10. TheIr highest ever chart position, I think. So that's even higher than thier Mercury nominated previous album.

They are down as TBC and will no doubt play, but where. Last time it was in the JP, i hope its not outdoors on the Other, they are really and indoor type of band IMO. Although having said that i saw them outdoors at the Greenwich festival and they were great, a small venue at around the Park size, so would be a good fit this time around.
