On just before Gaslight Anthem last year if I remember right? Didnt really know to much about them back then, I agree they were 'Meh' last time but think that had more to do with the timeslot they had.

Got a lot of stick last time but I think they've grown up a lot (on stage) over the past year or so. Should get a good slot high up in the JP I'd imagine/hope.

They are a good band, their old stuff is really quite good, and was gutted i couldnt go and see them in 2011.

But i'm happy, i think we're gonna get a great lineup this time around, well better than it has been the last few years

Lonerism is a psychedelic masterpiece. Hope they play. I didn't think much of them when I seen them on The Park in 2011. I was a big fan but didn't do much for me live but seen them last month and they were amazing.

What is your modern day example of a psychedelic sound then if they are not it?

I'm not sure if I've ever encountered a modern day psychedelic act.

I do remember The Coral being described as psychedelic in a press release I once got. That got the same 'brown acid' line back.

They were absolute poo on The Park stage last year. I left half way through the set and brought myself one of the best pork rolls I have ever tasted. No, I didn't miss out on anything important going on after them either.

I really like both Tame Impala albums. First one has at least 5 cracking tracks on it, plus they have a really cool song off an EP caled 'half full glass of wine' (check it out on youtube).

Second album is good also, although i am surprised its getting the widespread acclaim it seems to be in music press.

However i must say i saw them last glasto on the pyramid and was a bit dissapointed. Not sure they are the best live. Most of the mucis sounded good but im not sure the main guy Kevin really has quite a strong enough vocal.

I thought perhaps i should have gone to check them out on the park instead as they might be better on a smaller stage, but some reports on this thread suggest perhaps not.

I think if they do play Jon Peel Tent might be best home for them, although if that was the case they would prob be pretty high up bill (1st/2nd?) which would likely mean a clash.

In summary although i did think they were a bit dissapointing i would def watch them again and i would strongly reccomend both albums to anyone
