Not sure this is the best place to get a true indication of the demographic, though. Most efests posters will have been to multiple festivals before and, given that it's the best by a long, long way, most will have been to Glasto before. I imagine that the same poll on, say, the BBC's Glasto page would generate very different results.

I don't necessarily agree. In the past i have missed out on tickets and still hung around on here (along with quite a lot of other efesters) 2010? i think it was i got mine in a mini resale again along with a lot of other efesters, purely out of being on this forum. I know that if i had missed out yesterday i would still be here clinging on to hope that i would get a ticket to the ball.

i think this is proof that the well prepared and the informed tend to succeed at glasto ticket buying where more casual and less well connected (friend group wise) fail.

If you assume a certain level of well-informed ness and preparation associated with posting on this board 180/184 were successful. That is a 97.8% success rate. Ok it is a small sample but its no coincidence in my opinion.

i've had tickets in the first round of sales for each event from 2007 to present. Think thats 6 on the trot.

Thanks to the backdoor this will be my 6th in a row, and 7th overall. Going with a few regulars and 2 newbies, including my brother, who is most excited at the prospect of his first Glastonbury at the age of 40! Unfortunately some of our good friends missed out, as Seetickets fixed the server loophole before I could go back in and get theirs. Will be helping them in the resale as will be a shame if they miss out, it's always a really good fun group. Good luck to everyone on here still hoping to get tickets!

    • I would call him an arrogant, opinionated, dangerous, racist, misogynistic, and transphobic prick but that would be horribly disrespectful on this solemn day.
    • Rod Liddle has died. RIP.
    • Tickets on sale from 17th August but there is a special autobuy feature from 10th August- you log what you want to buy and then forget about it apparently.
    • Took my now 12 year old to old Trafford couple of years ago, for his 1st game. He fell asleep during the game, no replies needed. 😃   He is also a Wolves fan, my parenting skills are as good as Onana's goalkeeping skills.
    • A few snaps from Sunday, which was huge fun, plus Happy Mondays, Radio Free Alice, Fratellis and Pale Waves. We didn't stay for The Streets, as after 3-4 songs it felt so downbeat compared to the rest of the day, and i've got another hectic week at work incoming.
