Angles debut was amazing. One of TNA's better moments.

Good news about another ICW tour, can't get enough. Considering going to the Barramania show, same night as WM, do you think there will be an after show party showing it? Wanting to make the trip through but obviously don't want to miss Mania.

Box in Glasgow will be showing Mania, they have a ICW drinks menu and a Still Game one too, show lots of wrestling and close partners with ICW. Filmed shoot interviews in there recently and such. I watched a PPV before in there and was great.

ICW on Sunday, with Drew Galloway vs. Kid Fite in the main event for the gold. Don't be surprised if Chris Renfrew leaves with the gold though.

Noam Dar vs. Mikey Whiplash is on the show as well, which should be phenomenal, and a Zero G Title match involving the champ Kenny Williams, Davey Boy, Stevie Boy and Paul London!

Just bought a ticket for Sunday tonight surprised it hasn't sold out its a bit of a shame although it hasn't been promoted as much so I'm feeling thats the problem. Square go is close to selling out so it's a strange one!

Its such a small promotion I don't think they'll ever be in that position, they don't even put posters out for their shows, incredible the amount of talent that has passed through the promotion. They still haven't got the DVDs done for the past few shows.

They still have such a good roster though. Two of the six finalists in Bootcamp in Dave Mastiff and Mark Andrews, I hope they get a decent crowd tonight as this will be their first Saturday evening show in the Planet and I would much prefer Saturdays to Friday night shows.

Tell you what MK since hes turned heel, damn that guy is so good. SO good and hes still young and freaking LOVES the business, I get to talk to him and Trent a fair bit as they're local so see them all the time around town and theyre just great guys, always in town when theres a WWE PPV on in the pub, I can see MK breaking through to the US down the line.

Just home after fcp. Have to say poor show tonight, mk is starting to become a lazy fat wrestler, he put on weight while injured and cus he's getting pushed in fcp he ain't working it off.

Nixon and Chris brooks was motn outstanding effort from them both.

Elsewhere punk signing with ufc has knocked me for six, I didn't expect him doing anything for a while

Seen Mark Andrews wrestle here at Fight Club Pro tons of times, including last night, he was professional as ever and didn't tone down his style like I thought he might due to worrying about injury, guy can really pull off some amazing moves, given the right push he can be a massive star for TNA, they can groom him as their new AJ Styles IMO.

Really needs to show some character though, hes a great underdog, he's just got that likeable feel about him that you want to get behind him, lets hope they work on the character aspect with him, I get the feeling Spud had to reinvent himself to get called up, I think Andrews will get straight on TV but he and the whole x division need characters, they need promo time.

I didn't listen to the podcast he did but didn't he make a big deal about not wanting to do anything like this anymore as he's happy not risking his health and is currently out of shape?

He said they were asking him to work hurt all the time and the doctor was a clown. But that the injuries were temporary.

Hes certainly been training in MMA for years

Wasn't there something about how the WWE lawyers kept accusing him of wanting to work with a rival comapny and he said something about how he's happy to be retired and healthy?

Erm its not that much a curveball, UFC was mentioned, and it was a no compete clause to TNA AND UFC in both Punks and Del Rio's terminations, but Punk and Del Rio both got lawyers involved who stated you cannot say where people can't work if they are independent contractors, WWE had to agree.

The whole non compete elsewhere clause is basically dead thanks to Punk and Del Rio, its bullshit anyway. They should NEVER have tried that bullshit clause, remember how hot it was when someone jumped over, it doesn't matter with TNA these days they have no live shows and its going to continue in 2015. First week in Jan they're taping through the the UK tour, then the UK tour they're taping up to mid March.

Good to see Austin Aires has resigned with TNA too whilst im here. One of the best talents out there.

Yeah to TNA. But he said hes never going to wrestle again. UFC is a total curveball.

Pretty sure it's just WWE he's done with.May be wrong but on the second podcast he said if he does choose to wrestle he'd go to an Indy and just work with certain guys coz he wants to.Again, may be wrong with that as I was half listening, half playing Football Manager.

Excuse the complete WWE novice here, but does CM Punk have any background in actual grappling, because if his only real experience is a coupla years training gracie BJJ he will get tanned by just about any pro MMA fighter. Does anyone know what belt he holds in BJJ? Proper wrestling is widely regarded as one of the most important skills to have as an MMA fighter.

Be interesting to see how soon in 2015 he makes his debut. Will be interesting indeed, I watched Randy Couture v James Toney (boxer) on saturday from UFC 118, Toney had been openly critical about how weak/unskilled UFC fighters were, and how he would destroy any fighter. Admittedly Couture would be a test for anyone, but he absolutely dominated Toney.

He is gonna need a credible opponent for his first fight, and then I reckon they might throw him in against Nick Diaz (if diaz stays in the MW division), unless Diaz beats Silva. I dont think he would cope with any of the big name welterweights tbh, too many killers at WW.

I doubted that, so checked. According to wikipedia

  • CM Punk – American born WWE superstar and an avid practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu studying under Rener Gracie.[85] After earning a white belt at some point prior to February 2012, he refused to apply for belt promotions, claiming to be a "white belt for life" in 2014.[86]

If he earned a white belt some time prior to 2012, theres no way he would be any more than a blue or a purple belt even if he did apply for grading, the minimum time frame with a full training schedule to reach black is 8-10 years.

No chance Ufc put him against Nick Diaz. Diaz is world class and a tough fight for anyone.

I read something about Dana saying it will be someone else with a 0-0 record. If not I can't see it being anyone top 10.

I bet the Punk fight gets the highest butyrate since UFC 100. stick him on the main card and Anderson Silva in the main event. £££
