there's a statement on slipknots facebook saying that they have a big announcement monday. whatever that says most likely will influence the future/ and whether they will be playing in the foreseeable future.

EDIT: corey taylor has also said stone sour news the week after on twitter

Damn, beat me to it :P I know they've got a Greatest Hits album being released, but surely this big announcement isn't for that? He keeps saying the meaning of 'HoGaB' is going to be revealed, whatever that is! I wonder of its an acronym for a new Slipknot album in the works? Who Knows!

I think the Slipknot news could be them doing an outdoor tour in a tent judging by the picture that was posted with it.

perhaps....

who knows, I remember Radiohead did the same thing in 2000 [i think it was..] The Big Top tour, I went to it in Wales, it was ace

Bit disappointing for us Brits then! Hopefully they will be back over here soon. If they don't do Download do people think there is any chance of a big outdoor show next summer, MK Bowl perhaps?

If it happens in the UK I hope it's priced in line with the US, it looks great value! Knebworth may be a possibility if as expected Soni doesn't return. Not sure where else it could take place though.

Feeder was the second Download, and the organisers have since gone on record as saying it didn't work out as well as they had hoped. Plus there were rumours that Blink 182 were meant to headline but split up, so Feeder got bumped to headliner, though i have no idea how true those rumours may be
