I should think they got it from this - which is a list - hence the comma - they have read it as the Ave7fold and Slipknot for Download but no the pod cast features Ave7fold's single and the fact Slipknot are Download - nor are Deftones announced either.

Yeah Andy said they wouldn't be coming over in 2013 as they have no new material.

Slipknot are recording a new album next year and so could play new material, and they have their Knotfest gimmick to play with.

They have been announced. They are Rammstein, Iron Maiden & Slipknot.

I know the headliners ? , what i meant was is September early to announce the headliners , usually November time I think

It's very rare to announce the year before let alone is Sep, the theory is this year and last has been about battling Sonisphere and getting a head start on them.

I saw Metallica 3 times (Black album twice and Ride the lightening) in 3-4 weeks last year and never got bored once.

I'd prefer seeing Metallica to anyone whose been announced so far.

I don't know if this is worth pointing out or not, but most years I've noticed that on the DL website, the bands that they advertise tickets for seem to be on the bill.

So far I've seen Evanescence and Stone Sour on there this year...you never know

I am now incredibly disappointed.

I don't get bored of seeing Metallica, as they are excellent live, but I can't really justify buying a ticket just to see Metallica yet again.

I have to address the PEARL JAM issue which was very embarrassing for everyone. The fact that one of sponsors ‘leaked’ that they were playing makes it even worse! Anyway, what I will say is that PEARL JAM were one of the bands I was speaking to about playing Download, amongst many many others, but the Download dates don’t fit with their touring schedule for 2013, so they couldn’t do it. One of the things I have to do as part of the Download build up is speak with our sponsors about the bands I have booked and who I’m looking at and who I’m speaking too. There was a colossal breakdown of communication and it showed that the flaws within our announcement process but luckily not too much damage was caused. Lessons well and truly learned.
