Their set was incredible. Didn't play for long but didn't expect them to. It was a crowd that actually gave a fuck unlike most of the general c**t-ery at Reading. Fucking fantastic set, and a top notch crowd. It was a small crowd to start with but it did get a bit bigger I think. Not that I noticed, I was fucking knacked and somehow ended up near the front barrier.

I'm a huge fan, Relationship of Command is one of my favorite albums ever, that said I really was unsure whether or not they'd live up to the hype. However, as soon as the back drop was lifted the roar from the crowd reassured me that they would be epic. The atmosphere was electric. Despite the small crowd the band seemed extremely comfortable and Cedric inparticular seemed really happy to be there. Age has taken away their wildness but instead its given them the experiance to put on one hell of a show without the 'going mental' gimmic. Definitely my joint favorite set of the festival a long with The Cure, which is saying something as I saw some really excellent bands this year. Worthy mentions: Mongol Horde, Gaslight Anthem, Less Than Jake, Random Hand, Touche Amore, Scroobius Pip, The Cribs. (Leeds)

I thought they were really good at Leeds and Cedric's voice was amazing.

I cannot believe how few people actually went to see them, the crowd was even smaller than the one for Faith No More, possibly the smallest crowd I saw in the NME all weekend. Must have been 2- 3,000 at the very most, in fact I think there was more people watching Feeder in the Festival Republic tent.

We noticed just before they came on that me and my mate seemed to be the only teenagers in there. There seemed to only be actual fans of the band watching. I enjoyed that though, rather have a properly interested crowd of people genuinely going crazy for the music than a huge amount of people there just to pit for the sake of it.

There were more people watching Feeder. We watched the first 20 minutes of Feeder before leave for atdi and there were about 10 rows of people OUTSIDE the tent watching them. You do wonder what the logic is when they place bands on the line up. Feeder would still pull a decent Main Stage crowd 3rd down. It doesn't matter how 'relevant' they are, people like them and know their songs so they work at festivals.

Yeah the crowd size was disappointing (I can not fathom wanting to see Kasabian over ATDI AT ALL) but the people there more than made up for it. One of the most awesome crowds I've ever been in, people were hugging total strangers at the end.

Got a guestlist pass on Saturday morning and basically just went for ATDi. Didn't disappoint

We're they actually any good? Seen them online and it looked pretty awful, all the band clearly don't want to be their but they need the money. Seem like the kinda act all the alternatives hipsters rave about every year when a band reforms and everyone acts shocked that the majority of festival attendees don't know them, when in reality most these people probably didn't know who they were until march.

I find some of th alternatives bumboys more annoying than the generally uneducated because at least they have an excuse. On Saturday some guy walked past and was telling me I need to see ATDI, when I told them it wasn't for me he came out with the 'I bet you don't even know who they are', when I could name the band members and pointed out its all about the money he moved off in a hurry!

I think one of the reasons for small crowds for the tent headliners is the simple fact that they are up against main stage headliners.

i know that the headliners of each stage have to play last(for some reason) but i'm pretty sure that if Justice,At drive-in and Social Distortion had been playing at 7oclock they would have all pulled bigger crowds. In fact, considering they probably paid bigger fees to these bands, perhaps they should have put them on at 7pm and let another band play up against the main stage headliners.

I'll never believe any band who says it their last ever show.

This year i have watched Soundgarden,at the drive in,Refused and watched Black Sabbath after watching TWO previous farewell tours.

Who'd have thought Faith no More or Rage against the machine would have got back together?

on a different note, that also looks like a list of my top gigs over the last few years,so keep the reformations coming.

Yeah, fantastic end (to the bands) at Leeds.

"You guys seem more lively than Reading. My fault for putting prozac in their water I guess."

Not a dig at reading btw, the main stage crowds especially seemed to be better at Reading (sound issue?)

And little Milo!

No they didn't.

They said this was the final show of the Relationship of Command tour they started 12 years ago. They didn't say final ever show.

And they were fucking brilliant last night. Pissed all over their Reading performance and the atmosphere was electric.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
