Joe-
My festival is going to finish with me dancing my nuts off to Orbital, Stevie wonder will be a pre-dance, then Friendly Fires will be a pre1-dance, then Orbital smashing it. Fred Zepplin
Fantastic booking. Talking book is one of my favorite albums of all time. He was awesome at Glasto and I'm sure we will get more of the same at bestival.
LondonTom
Great booking for bestival and he will put one hell of a show for everyone again. But I feel a bit meh I don't really feel the need to see him again as he good as he was at Glastonbury. Its a purely personal thing (I was also relying on bestival making me really want to go, but no ones main stage headliners this year apart from field day make me that excited on a personal level, I always like one headliner I really love .) Frankly Mr Shankly
I really really hope he plays Uptight, Pastime Paradise & Free, all the other amazing tracks will just be a bonus then.
rexclark
Can't say I'm a huge Stevie Wonder fan but it is an excellent booking for the fest, I did think it would be a classic solo artist, would've prefered Elton or Rod Stewart (yes I know he's shite live now). Still a very strong booking for a fest the size of Bestival and I'll probably go along and will no doubt be converted.

kaosmark2
Now, which numpties ^^^^ are pissed off about Stevie? He might not be your personal taste but you're not booking the line-up yourself, are you? There's no doubt that this is a a great booking for Bestival, and a it's a headliner who hasn't done the festival circuit to the point of boredom. Unless you start your own festival, what's to criticise?

rexclark
Really? I'm no Stevie Wonder fan, but far better than one of those borefests. I'd have been upset if money had been spunked on either of them.
kaosmark2
I do get the slight impression that RDB books acts to his own eclectic musical taste. That's fair enough though, it's his festival and he's proved that he's pretty good at it since he started.
smogo
I wonder how many festival bookers book acts they can't stand. I'd be interested to know. Not that I can see how you'd ever find out.
kaosmark2
Didn't Michael Eavis throw a wobbly when Emily Eavis booked the Wombles?
Chiefski
Fantastic booking for Bestival, dont want to say 'punching above their weight' but considering the stature of Stevie Wonder its some effort to get him, especially as it doesnt look hes around too many other places this summer.
