Luckysalt said it as he was told it, we're toying with the idea for now.

this the same guy that said Arctics and Blink are two of the headliners yeah? christ, if they're resorting to another co-headliner AS WELL as having Blink (and to a lesser extent, Arctics) in the mix again then they really must've struggled to get headliners for next year

I'd be very happy with Artics, Blink and QOTSA, so would most of my Reading group.

I just can't see this being the case just because two are very recent headliners... Especially with AM big dates and previous arena tour.

I know people thought their performance in 2007 was awful (I can't comment, I wasn't there), but wouldn't people prefer RHCP to fucking Blink? I couldn't think of a headliner worse than Blink other than Paramore (but at least Paramore would be a new headliner).

Blink's last tour sold much better than Chili Peppers's and Chilis are the worst headliner I can think of as they are the worst headliner I've ever seen.

no, the Chili Peppers really were that bad, and have released a dog turd of an album (that they've been playing heavily from at recent shows) since. surely it can't be Chili Peppers - they've just wrapped up their tour and have no new material on the horizon

Oh yeah I've just seen Neil's comment in the Reading section. 'Blimey, I wasn't expecting that'.

As it was solely in the Reading section, could it be something shitty like one headliner only playing Reading? Like when GNR only played Leeds but not Reading, or whatever that was.

Did you guys also see Blink? how did they both compare? When I saw RHCP in 2011 I didn't think they were too bad, but blimey, I must have caught them on a good day!

Why would they do that when Reading sells out and Leeds doesn't?

He probably just didn't want to post in this bearpit.

You did for sure.

They were the worst headline act I have ever seen... Maybe Rihanna over took that this year but only just and I walked off for her at T.

Blink were actually much better in 2010 than RHCP in 07.

You're reading too much into it.

Blink weren't great either but you could enjoy the set tho unlike Peppers who were literally every aspect of the set was fucking shit.

Cue the odd nutter who says they were great live/good on youtube.

It was just a different angle of looking at and trying to make sense of his comment, I don't actually think they would do it :)

Just saw a tweet from someone yesterday saying the headliners are AM, Blink and QOTSA Paramore co-headliner.

Are any of you called Josh Murphy? :ninja:

Yeah man haha that's me, I made an account after I saw that, that tweet was just a rumour I read on here, seems plausible

i really enjoyed Blink. i know it wasn't actually a great performance, but they gave the crowd what they wanted - a greatest hits set. no more. no less. Chili Peppers looked bored as fuck, played an awful setlist, and everything about it was horrible. would be surprised if a UK festival ever goes near them again (unless said festival gets desperate, like Coachella seemingly did this year)
