NIN cater very much for your Download crowd as far as I know, putting them as a sub on a very R&L day but below a slightly heavier headliner is a great move. That's not me saying it's a done deal or that the guy is right but there is tour news to question is at least and he's specific about the day, could have said Eminem

Must say I would not be too happy with that top six- Black Sabbath don't suit my tastes anywhere near as much as Blur or Green Day do, and the only sub I'd be interested in seeing at all would be The Prodigy. Though I suppose I'm a bit less hard/heavy rock oriented than most on here.

Although I like NIN I can't see how the festival would seek out if this many alternative acts are being booked. All the Facebook comments on the R&L wall have been asking for your indie and pop type bands.

If they seem to be going too far away from the mainstream I could see a struggle...

Tool above SOAD and NIN below Biffy. :ninja:

In all seriousness though, this would be perfect for me (minus Eminem and FOB)...

Black Sabbath

System of a Down

Deftones

Eminem

Bloc Party

Editors

Biffy Clyro

Nine Inch Nails

Fall Out Boy

If NIN were to sub, the Biffy day would make most sense, as they're the 2nd heaviest sub, and Biffy are likely the 2nd heaviest headliner.

A small proportion of the top of the line up. That's the biggest seller amongst casual fans. Bands like SOAD, NIN, deftones seem to have a large following on these forums but are not massively popular with the mainstream, he'll they failed to sell out with the foos and kasabian last year, I think this route is going to be worse.

Much better for my musical tastes but as a whole I can see it being a huge struggle.

But there's still the places for acts such as Prodigy, Bloc Party, XX, Vampire Weekend, and likes of Miles Kane, Palma Violets on NME, plus if they manage some decent stuff on 1xtra like Macklemore and Frank Ocean, then there's no room for anyone to complain surely?

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
