I can really sense the Josh Homme influence on their 2 newest albums.

They have always been a band I think are descent but the way they have evolved I really respect because that is very for a band to do successfully especially when their first 2 albums were so sucessfull.

The Bad Thing, Teddy Picker, Only Ones Who Know, D Is For Dangerous are some of their best imo. Tbh i like the whole album. Regarding Suck It And See, The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, All My Own Stunts, Don't Sit Down.. and Library pictures are some of my picks, not to mention Suck It And See being one of the best songs Turner has ever written. But my favourite off the album is Black Treacle.

well it does yes, but i was saying most people's 1st. I find it a bit boring, I don't think you'll easily find a better debut album than arctic's 1st and it it heavily thought of as one of the finest debut's ever, 2nd in my opinion had good tracks but some of them showed lack of imagination. Alex his self said they don't know how to make a big hit anymore.

Cornerstone IMO is the best song off of Humbug by a fair bit. Potion Approaching starts like it's going to be good then it just isn't. Pretty Visitors is IMO the 2nd best, it's alrite but Corner Stone in my view can be repeated many times and is the only one.

Humbug is a very slow and dreary easy to turn of album IMO.

The Prodigy under Biffy I really couldn't see happening. After The Prodigy headlining Download they wouldn't accept an offer to sub and Biffy Clyro have less experience compared to The Prodigy. Yes Biffy headlined Sonisphere in 2011. + The Prodigy personally I think bring me to the stage the Biffy. Bffy could well headline just it wouldn't happen with The P subbng. Nice line-up nevertheless !

The Prodigy could headline next year because they're headlining somewhere else this year. Muse headlined in '11 after headlining everywhere in '10, Foo's are headining this year after doing the rounds last year. See a pattern here :P? Haha! The Stone Roses are an option too then :L

As long as its not all headliners thats predictable and is a bit different thats fine by me. What destivals need is a kick up the arses and not have same headliners every year like muse/arctic monkeys/foos/kol/kasabian and the likes.

I'd love to see The Prodigy headline next year. They're one of the few reasons that I'd consider going to Download this year. The Prodigy, Blur and Green Day would be my dream line up but with the apparent disbanding of Blur, they're not very likely.

A few debut albums that beat Arctic Monkeys (off the top of my head, and just my personal opinion of course)

G N' R - Appetite For Destruction

Pearl Jam - Ten

Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

Weezer - The Blue Album

Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill (counted as her debut outside of Canada)

Oasis - Definitely Maybe

Slipknot - Slipknot

    • It can take around 30-45 mins to walk from the arena back to the transport hub with the crowds, depending on density. Allow even longer in poor conditions. I don't think you'd need to leave Linkin Park early though, you have at least an hour and 20 minutes to walk to transportation. I certainly wouldn't leave early in your shoes, knowing I can just walk to the airport if needs be (2 mile walk and another 30 - 45 min walk depending on your walking speed and conditions.) Maybe just don't linger too long for the toilet / food after Linkin Park have finished.  It will definitely make sense and all just fall into place on the night, don't worry too much and have a great time. The very worst that can happen is a little extra walking to the Airport Skylink bus stop, as those Skylink busses are 100% 24 hour. 🙂  GFS, ICON and ECMWF are ALL in agreement on the latest runs.... After a mildly moist Weds and Thurs, high Pressure building from Friday... Lets just hope they continue to agree... ☀️☀️☀️
