Would be a leap for Frank Turner wouldn't it? 7th down two years ago.

Anyway I'd add in acts like Noah and the Whale, Phoenix, White Lies, possibly The xx if they're not subbing. And also, just to disappoint us, probably Enter Shikari, YMAS, and Crystal Castles.

I would have had FOB as much better suited for the heavier day than foals but obv won't happen if they have self confirmed Sunday

I can't see Foals playing 3rd on the heavy day, sorry i just can't. I'm firmly of the opinion that Deftones will be pushed to 3rd, makes sense to bump them up as SOAD are a big sub headliner and will want a longer set

Frank Turner could fit in as 4th on that day if it isn't BMTH

As for Tenacious D, i don't see them even getting third any more. Their album last year completely tanked, and let's face it they are a bit of a novelty act, wouldn't make sense to waste a high slot on them when, as we've said, there are so many other contenders for 3rd

There's so many acts available for the 3rd/4th slots this year. I think all of Deftones, Frank Turner, Foals, Vampire Weekend, Fall Out Boy, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Editors will be there. Probably one of them will have to be in the NME, hopefully Editors against Eminem.

So who have we had confirmation of playing what days then?

Eminem - sat

SOAD - fri

Sub focus - fri?

Fob - sun

Biffy - sun

Deftones- ??

Alt j - ???

Jake bugg - ???

Boy better know - ???

Foals - ???

Bring me the horizon - ???

Also if sub focus are headlining Friday reading it would be impossible for example to headline the dance tent with dj wire due to Mallorca rocks on Sunday 25th...

This is the fest that Bullet For My Valentine, Kaisers & Black Keys back to back so logicilly fucks knows who goes where but I can see YYY being on the "indie day" to appeal to rock fans and Foals may win over the metalheads with a lively show leaving FOB who have comfirmed themselves for the Sunday at Reading, just a hunch tho.

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
