I was thinking more of acts at their own shows which annoys me, at a fest it's more understandable as you may only know a bit about the act and you didn't enjoy them as much as you were expecting to or it's a long weekend so you may get tired but when it's a solo gig it boggles the mind.

If they play 3rd, I have a lot of words to eat.

I see Aphex Twin have been added as a rumour for Glasto, anyone think he could do R&L? Dance stage headliner to finish weekend would be fantastic.

The Darkness and Feeder are too high and Deftones too low. Yeah Yeah Yeahs would probably play third given the fact that they aren't around much, but so would Vampire Weekend so if they're both on the main stage then I think they'll be on different days.

Can anyone see Bullet For My Valentine headlining the NME tent this year?

They went down well on the main stage last year. Releasing a new album in February, could be one of the acts to step up. Playing opposite the least heavier headliner.

I'm not sure if download is an exclusive, I know they are main stage subs there, so could possibly play second stage at R&L.

Feeder headlined a hyde park show for the olympics this year and headlined festival republic last year, I think that's a suitable spot for them. You're right about yeah yeah yeahs and vampire weekend, but I can see both of them playing, and don't know where else they'd fit in! Biffy Clyro are looking odds on to headline, and I think both their day and the Eminem day will be focusing on heaviers acts; with NME and the Friday focusing on Indie.

Editors now Strong rumour, i think we can all agree they will be at least 4th on the main

Also what do people think of primal scream? Supposed to have a new album out next year and it seemed like they played everywhere but Reading and Leeds last time

Example has just tweeted that he's playing at least 20 festivals next year, with some in the UK - must be a possability for R+L with the new direction they're going in?

Me, personally, couldn't care less if he's there or not as I'm not a massive fan but it'd be a good booking for the festival.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
