2013 Lineup

I think for that exact reason of them looking so weird I don't believe it'll be the case and I think that Prodigy will headline instead of Sabbath.

Do people reckon The Prodigy will either headline R&L or V? They've got a new album coming out next year so are bound to promote it with some high-profile festival performances. Personally I think they'll headline R&L as V like to go for the massive names for headliners and therefore could get away with subbing at V, and I reckon if they were given the choice between the two they'd rather headline R&L than sub V. Another reason I see them headline R&L is Kings of Leon are due to headline a festival next year for the same reasons as The Prodigy and I could see KoL headlining V as a festival exclusive alongside a poppier headliner like Rihanna (also means they share a headliner with T) however it could be that both The Prodigy and KoL headline V which might make it for my first visit if the headliners for Reading are Sabbath, Mumford and Eminem.

What about Mumford and KOL for V? V is then sharing a headliner with TITP... and then we could have Prodigy, Eminem and Sabbath at Reading? Still would feel a bit odd but a bit more like a Reading lineup. It is a bit too similar to Download but guess it's for a very different audience and Eminem would ensure it would have a very different crowd.

I don't think R&L really give a damn about having two headliners from a previous fest, they've done if before with IOW and they book acts that headlined in the country the previous year fairly regularly (think we've discussed this before :P) so I believe Eminem-Prodigy-Sabbath is still very much a possibility. I'm beginning to think that if Mumford and going to be in such demand then R&L could just put them off for a year.

Either way, I think V will have KOL and Gaga (with Rihanna subbing at Glasto)

I had a dream last night that Twin Atlantic, Killswitch Engage, Deftones & Rise Against all played the Main Stage on the Saturday at Leeds.

And Vampire Weekend played third down on the main on one of the days. Also, on the Sunday at Leeds Biffy were subbing, but I can't remember who to :P

Haha and some of you are still talking about me without me being on recent. Oh and that Gazza is banned is bullshit, is bullshit, he is moderated and can't be arsed.

Oh look, more bollocks from the mouth of gazza.

there is a difference between banning and moderation.

Seeing that gazza said he was off but was then making posts full of bullshit to falsely gain sympathy, he was helped on his way - that's all. It's no different to mike99 saying 'ban me' and me banning him. You get what you ask for here. :)

But for someone who isn't gazza, you use the same computer with the same login account, you defend him, you use the same wording and phases in your posts, and you post about all the same things in all the same threads.

But you're not him, of course you're not.

Sabbath, Eminem and Blur? Sabbath only because they seem to be the most likely that aren't confirmed... Blur because I don't see why they'd play festivals next year and miss out the uk? How reliable is the source that they won't be playing uk fests?

the source is supposedly infallible - it's that close to the band - but the problem with sources like that is that you never quite know if they're spinning you a line or if they're fully in the loop with what's happening.

As an example, I heard that Mumfords would only play Rockness in the UK this year, and that's what they did .... but I didn't believe what I was told at the time, because it didn't fit with how bands normally do shows, and it's often the case that info like that later gets proven wrong.

The Blur info I've had I'm treating much like that Mumfords info - it sounds too unlikely to be true. But it still might be true.

You keep making out other people should do what you could easily do. You keep adding fuel to the fire by constantly replying... as said people get a bit bored this time of year if you are gonna get so worked up because people are saying you are Gazza of course people are going to keep posting about it... As I said before everyone has decided you are Gazza now... you are never going to change that... you wouldn't need to be getting so worked up if you just didn't reply... people would get bored and give up. I actually quite enjoyed some of the debate you used to bring to the fest forums, even if you did it in an annoying manner, but this is getting seriously tedious. I know I barely bother with the forums now cause of it. It's not all your fault but you are the one who is effectively allowing this all to continue. To be fair if you had just continued posting as Gazza it would have been better (this is just my opinion... no need to get snappy about it).

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
