You could try searching for an English speaking forum in a far off country. That way much of the live chat would coincide with your work times. I stumbled across an ex pat one in Thailand last night. It looked fairly dull but there must be others that would fit the bill. Will not be the same as an active Glastonbury forum though.

hehehe, you reckon it's quiet now, wait till next Spring with no Glastonbury to look forward to.

I was pondering this the other day, there's clearly going to be less and less activity on here till, I suppose a bit of build up to ticket day in well over a year's time. Given that the last time there was a year off, the internet, chat sites and all that wasn't as ubiquitous as it is now, I wonder how this forum and the community will fare over the next 15 months.

I too am now struggling to procrastinate effectively at work now that this forum has turned into a ghost town!

Anyone know any other good timewasting forums? Where does everybody go after they abandon this one?

:(

Although it clearly won't be the same, there are other fests on next year. The banter isn't half as good on the other fest forums (well at least the ones I read) but there is still some good laughs to be had.

I must admit I will really miss the build up to Glastonbury. Normally it starts in October then gradually builds. Oh well, only another 14 months till T Day.:(

I feel confident there will be enough people around to talk bollocks on a daily basis for the next two years...

In the spring i'm sure there will be a lot of chat about what people are doing with no glasto and then in the summer lots of threads about how depressed people are with no festival to attend! :D:D

Anyone remember what it was like on here during the last fallow year?

It's a shame that it's so dead in here these days, but it's not exactly like there's much to talk about now the fuss has died down.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
