I think if any of us had done the whole season we would have a few dodgy ones as well. His predictions are not that terrible, considering he always backs the big teams (who win a lot more than they lose) he will naturally get a lot right. To think man u and man city would only lose 1 game between them all season is a bit silly though, I am not sure that has ever happened in europes top leagues.

Interesting to see Howard Webb has been allocated the Man Utd match this weekend!

I bet if you looked at the bookies odds over a season and did a league table you would get the same exaggeration top/bottom half as well. The main problem with his predictions seem to be to me that it looks like he makes his mind up about a team before game 1 and has the same opinion to game 38.

Just been reading about players moaning about the Europe League, Wenger backed it up and said it's a good competition etc.

Wouldn't it make sense to put the winners of the Europa into the Champions League the next season? It would transform the worth of the competition instantly and it's hardly like the winners of it are normally sub-standard...

In fact it would also make domestic cups suddenly become a lot more useful as they would open up a route to the top table...

I think it's a good competition, we just don't take it seriously over here.

And yes, I reckon it would. I said that to someone a couple of years back. If you're going to have it as the inferior competition, you ought to provide extra motivation to win it once you're in it.

I still don't get how it's dropped in prestige so much since it was the Uefa cup. Is it just because English teams have done better in the Champs in the last 8 years?

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
