Would that include certain acts not wanting to play under others i.e we are bigger than them?
nope, it means that Glastonbury's rep would be damaged by sub-standard headliners, which would impact onto future fests.

And when I say "future fests" I'm not meaning just Glastonbury. If Glasto's rep gets damaged then that inflicts damage onto all of the UK festival sector.

Oh come on this sounds too good to be true. You can see all the headlines 'X step in to save the UK Festival scene', 'X play stunning headline set to save Glastonbury', someone will be massively tempted to do it as well as 'get it'. Eavis will wax lyrical about them and chances are it will be one of those sets everyone talks about.

I still think with the amount of big english bands about one of them will have their head turned by the prestige of the slot.

It's pretty clear that if asked, Kasabian would snap his hand off for it. Stepping into a slot pretty much reserved for the biggest out there will defo reap it's rewards.

Bugger it, what does it actually matter if it's a wrong guess anyway. Mumford & Sons to headline on Sunday Night.

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
    • A lot of acts put him up on their Insta seems to have touched a lot of hearts across the industry, didnt know too much about him but read a bit now seems like great guy
