it's definitely not true. that website is the Wikipedia of live dates (i.e. anybody can post anything). but i wouldn't be at all surprised if Yeah Yeah Yeahs were at Glastonbury!

Well to be fair, I can see why people might think SongKick is moderated and kept accurate, or perhaps updated by the acts themselves, MySpace-style.

There are sites that carry lots of tour dates which are pretty accurate, after all. I don't know why that concept sounds so inconcievable to you.

It's a conceivable concept, I think what's hard to understand is why in this specific case people would trust a site that the public can edit/add to. There should always be something at the back of the mind that insists on an additional check with sites like this.

People have put fake gigs up on there before; I remember there being a gig of Slipknot and System of a Down at Manchester Arena, my friend got really excited about it but I knew it was fake so I then proceeded to add Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Stavros Flatley as supports and changed the venue to the bins behind Tesco to illustrate how easy it is to edit.

I wouldn't say those names being on Songkick is that much of a verification.

Just looking at Emily's twitter after something on the Daft Punk thread (Arcade Fire and Daft Punk pretty much out of the running now - sad times!), and there was another tweet saying something interesting. Replying to someone wanting Arctics, Stones and Radiohead with "Can't say which ones, but you may be in luck with some late night lasers!". That says to me one of those are confirmed, or at leat extremely likely. Considering that Radiohead are pretty much out because of Atoms for Peace and how ambiguous the Stones are inevitably going to be with their booking (and leave it to the last minute. From interviews, it's almost definitely not booked right now, unless they're all lying throough their teeth) I think this is a bit of a push up for the Arctic Monkeys rumour

Arctics and Stones sounds wonderful, and I'd rather be somewhere else than Gaga, but ain't the end of the world if I end up watching her, rather her than Mumford.

I'd punt at Arctics, Stones, Mumfords at this point (the Stones being the only one I'd go see).

I hope they've got a good backup plan in case the Stones don't do it though.

If anything i'd say this makes Radiohead much more likely seen as their shows use a lot of lasers. Nigel Godrich has also said that Atoms For Peace won't be at Glastonbury, this could be because Radiohead will be.
