i reckon their contract doesn't include that part - which is probably why he thinks that booking them was a mistake.

I have a feeling Avalon will be as rammed for this one as it was for the Wurzels last year. I was one of the many thousands there (One of my Glastonbury highlights is still Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby,...oo-ar, oo-ar, oo-ar!! ) and apart from the heat we had to contend with more modern day wombles trying to manoeuvre a bloody great big bin lorry through the crowd.....and then back again!! A repeat of that could cause Mr E problems.

I do fear for the Wombles performing in that tent with all that fur if the weather is anything like last year too (which of course it will be ) Not sure if a performer has 'expired' on stage before but that would be no easy gig!

well, i had heard something about michael eavis expressing regret for booking a novelty pop act known for ridiculous outfits and eco posturing.... but i thought he was talking about U2

I suspect this is more to do with Tomsk's drug habit (I hear he's clinically died 14 times from OD'ing so far, and they've always just managed to bring him back) and the infamous group sex sessions that take place with Madame Cholet in full on domanatrix mode, and Tobermory in a gimp mask. Or did I dream all of this?

i personally disagree.

There's plenty of other 'credible' bands they could have booked, but many of those would actually be no less crud.

They're still a band that play fairly decent pop songs. And I fail to see how their outfits are any more ridiculous than Lady Gaga's or Beyonce's

About the tightest crush I've ever been in was to see Rolf in 2000 I think it was - he was in a tent.

We turned up two bands two early if I remember, as a friend wanted to see them. All the rest of my friends left the tent near the start of the band prior to Rolf, because the crowd was getting so tight.

At least it wasn't too tiring - relax your legs and you were still held up by everyone else squashed around you .
