1) Don't w*nk. I you're having one of these you will be missing out on some other excellent stuff going on.

2) Bags of wine/perry/cider, saves a lot weight & can be shared amongst friends & fellow G goers.

3) My Freeloader solar charger/spare batteries. I've never needed to use this myself but many a less organised friend has. I would love to be able to leave my phone back at the tent but going with a big crowd or getting lost it's needed.

4) Make friends with your neighbours, invite them for a drink or just a friendly chat during the day. You never know if you many need their help or people to go see a band no of your mates want to see.

5) Choose 1-3 unmissable acts a day, then try & do all your touristy stuff around those areas ie don't be rolling around Arcadia when you know there are a few DJs you will want to see later in the Dance Village.

1) Make sure you take a comfy blow up bed. From my experience when it comes to sleeping at Glastonbury is quality over quantity all the way.

2)Embrace daft hats, fancy dress, glow sticks etc etc No one is too cool for school B)

3) Sun cream - sunburnt and heat stroke will spoil an amazing time. I find lathering up at the info points does the job.

4) Don't feel bad for taking some time out. I love sitting under a tree somewhere with the paper to recharge the batteries.

5) Don't freak out when you lose your friends (it will happen) just make new ones or go off on your own, you'll have so many tales to tell your mates when you eventually find them back at your tents.

Erm most stuff has already been said but,

Wet wipes, just makes you feel a little less filthy in the morning

Bin Bags, they have saved my life over the last few years

A small bag/rucksack. Put a pair of kecks/hoodie etc in for the nighttime, or even just for your ale during the day.

Squashed toilet roll. Always have some on you or make sure a friend has some, needing a shite and having to run back your tent is a nightmare.

Also, Pre rolled spliffs ;)

A big long fine cotton scarf - gets wrapped around my mouth and nose when using the long drops. Used as a "sunshade" cover up during the day. Keeps neck / front warm during the evening. Handy for wiping sunglasses on. Also looks good - I have a selection in nice bright colours!!!

Agree with the suggestion about lipbalm. whether it's cold or sunny spending 3-4 days outside really affects the lips

Also suggest taking a spare bag with some essentials in such as clothes, shoes, bit of cash etc in and leaving it in the car or one of the lock ups. Probably won't need it but if things do go a bit pear shaped it's good to have as a standby

1) Earplugs and Eyemask, essential to helping you sleep at night / in the morning.

2) Take spirits to cut down on the weight of alcohol, you can buy mixers there.

3) An empty Lenor bottle can be used as a toilet during the night, rather than staggering across guy-ropes to the long drops in the early hours.

4) Dress up for the /index.php?showtopic=150682&hl=fancy%20dress%20friday&st=0">Nerd Convention Fancy Dress Friday.

5) It gets cold at night, carry a hoodie and trousers in your daysack to save a trip back to the tent.

(1) Dignity / self respect - to be discarded at the earliest opportunity

(2) Soul - to be retained at all costs

(3) Remaining brain cells - to link up together in a beautiful daisy chain before expiring

(4) Sunny disposition - to be chemically induced

(5) Friends - to be savoured as one of the best things life has to offer.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
