Saturday is very poor

Friday and Sunday amazing (Leeds)

Missing for me Lostprophets, Rancid, Twin Atlantic, Dropkick Murphys, Less Than Jake etc etc

Paramore back again? They were garbage in 2010

However.. i love

Foo's, Kasabian, Vaccines, Shikari, Bullet, Kaiser's, Gaslight and Angels and Airwaves i'm happy with

Courteeners under Foster The People... eh?

Bombay 3rd from top... eh?

In general though happy with Fri and Sun not with Saturday (Leeds this is btw)

Random as fuck, such a weird line-up. Questionable placements, unexpected bands playing (Paramore, Bullet, Coheed), expected ones not (Korn, Lostprophets, KIGH). Kind of a crappy poster design too, it looks all over the place.

I'm pretty happy with the line-up though, and have got myself a weekend ticket. Not as good as 2010, but it beats 2009 and 2011 for me. Shame about the lack of Korn, Prophets, ADTR, The Used and The Pretty Reckless, but solid nonetheless. Can't believe we got Paramore, that came completely out of nowhere!

I would be tempted to get a day ticket purely for cribs and at the drive in. The rest of the line up isnt to my taste but I suppose its not aimed at people in their 30s. There seems a clear trend to me over recent years of smaller bands being pushed up the line up, however thats probably a lot to do with the fact that guitar music isnt as big as it was in the late 90s/early 00s, so a band doesnt need to be as big to be high up the bill. I remember first going in the 90s and the likes of Ocean colour scene, ash, bluetones, feeder etc had records sales which would make them borderline headliners now.

I also tried to get on to seetickets out of interest and got on strraight away, I remember spending hours in the past clicking refresh. I wonder if the price has now got to that level where people are deciding the experience doesnt justify the cost, I hope in a way it does sell poorly and forces the organisers to cut prices.

    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
    • You're not wrong - but i still don't like it!  F5 forever
    • Its fascinating how you turn every point of conversation into a matter of 'winners' and 'losers' - everyone owes you because . . . actually, i dont really understand why, because you predicted that things would get more expensive over time?
    • New Overmono album is... just good for me. Had high hopes which were later dashed a bit after listening to some of the singles but they brought me back around enough to appreciate some very nice work in there. https://music.apple.com/ie/album/pure-devotion/1894298100
