There is literally 1 band I want to see on Leeds Sunday. At the drive in. 1 band Leeds Saturday the cure. And most of the main stage Leeds Friday. Eugh.

Disappointed at the lack of Lostprophets and Korn... although to be fair, I'm seeing both of them in the next two months anyway. Plus Paramore and Bullet For My Valentine totally make up for them.

Are they not bothering make the mainstage good on the Reading friday anymore? Second year in a row where there's literally only one band I'd be interested in.

Just booked my first ever Reading ticket So unbelievably excited, lineup is near-on perfect for me. Cannot believe I'm going to get to see The Cure, and Justice/TDCC on Foos day? Yesssssss.

Basically, a strong set of headliners, and although I'm not a fan of Florence or Paramore they're big enough to sub. Plus The Black Keys will be good and are the "rising stars" of music. Kaiser Chiefs are always good live too, if not a bit out of place on that day.

The rest of the Main Stage is weak as piss. I thought last year's line-up was pretty weak but there was still some strong bookings further down, like Madness, Deftones, The Offspring and Jimmy Eat World. Here it just seems to be bands who are currently popular. This line-up has shades of 2007 all over it.

Thank God for The Gaslight Anthem! Shame they're not higher. If The Vaccines and Bombay Bicycle Club can both play 3rd surely they deserve higher than 6th?

Yeah Main Stage looks shocking apart from Foo Fighter day, Vaccines 3rd?

Its not going to be a sell out this year either even with the instalment plan as you could get straight on the ticket page even a few minutes after they had gone on sale.

I'm hoping for some decent bands on the Lock Up Stage and the NME as overall it looks average at best.

No Korn, Tenacious D, Rancid, NoFx or Rancid.

As much as I like The Vaccines and Bombay Bicycle Club, how on earth are they 3rd? Weezer, Dizzee Rascal and Biffy played those slots a couple of years ago.

There is genuinely no greater pain in waiting weeks to see the undercard for your favourite band, only to find out they're being subbed by fucking Paramore. I genuinely thought it was Avril Lavigne when they played the song. I feel like i've been brought out to a girls house, on to have her strip, and find out she's got a bigger c*ck than me.

With regards to the rest of the line-up, it appears to be suffering from what it had last year, several acts missing mid to high mainstage. There's just no quality back up. The Vaccines at third?!

Some of the placing does seem proper baffling to say the least, usually it's sort of done on popularity, but it seems a bit off the mark, more so than usual.

I think Paramore.... although awful in 2010, are a massive booking for the festival.

I mean, it will be the first performance in the UK for a long time ( I think?) and their first performance in the UK with their new stuff off their new album.

So I think a massive booking for R+L.

Typical first day announcement, lots of people loving it, lots of people hating it.

You get the feeling they paid a lot for the headliners (and subs), and struggled to fill the undercard a bit. There are definitely some great bands there (Gaslight in particular), and the Reading Sunday is easily the strongest day. Looking forward to a good lockup and the rest of the NME for Friday and Saturday, and maybe the D slotting in above The Vaccines?

Lol at the guy who said that it's bands that are "currently popular", though. There are at least 3 bands on each day that are solid, well-known and established acts. The others, well, why would FR book bands that aren't popular today? Should they book bands from the 80s?

Edit: Seconde that notion of Courteeners being low. Fair enough no new material (although their working on album 3 so will prob play some) but could easily play lower down on the main.
