I'm not particularly fussed by LDR, but I can see her headlining FR. She seems to be at a similar point as Marina was back in 2010 when she headlined.

I'd be surprised to see Feeder headlining but after Ash a few years ago, it wouldn't be unheard of. If they were to headline the Friday then that would be very interesting since I've really been unable to get into The Cure, and can't stand The Maccabees. Was planning on going to Social Distortion but if a really good FR headliner pops up then it could make things interesting.

Feeder would just be the crowning glory for me. SO many of my favourite bands are playing, hidden away on the smaller stages. The only main stage acts I'm really looking forward to are Kasabian and Coheed.

Well it's a rock festival, isn't it? (I mean rock in the broader sense here, not just the harder/non-indie stuff.) I had the impression that LDR was about as rock as Rihanna... maybe I'm wrong there though, thinking of someone else perhaps?

Err I'll point out that the (sold out) gig at Leadmill was one of four intimate dates to first play their new album. Including a (sold out) date at Norwich Waterfront.

And this was before they announced a much larger (brixton, manc academy) tour for November.

So yeah I'd say there's demand for them.

By the way, before someone says it, I'm not some massive fanboy. I just think they should get the credit they deserve.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
