I f**king love the Monkees!!

Forget the fact they're a band created for the tellybox.... they had some of the best singles of the 60's.

Carole King, Neil Diamond, Harry Nilsson, Boyc & Hart..... some of their best tracks were given to them!!

Head is a headf**k of a film as well!!!

'Daydream Believer', 'Last train to Clarksville' and 'I'm a believer' on the Pyramid Oldie slot - I'm there !!! :D

Classic 60's pop band - would be perfect for Glastonbury ! :)B):D

I saw them in Wembley Arena a good few years ago, well Davey and Micky (apparently one of the others mooched off home becausde as a recovering alcoholic he couldnt handle the other 2 drinking)

Their harmonies were amazing, even the blokes that came with us just to take the mick couldnt believe their ears.

Mickey Dolenz even did a little bit of opera to prove they could actually sing.

One of the best gigs Ive ever been too, manufactured or not.

Went to see them in Birmingham a few years back with my daugher and father....my daughter was about 8 so must have been 10 years ago. She knows all the words! Would be great as my dad is working as a masseuse at the festival this year and they were his no. 1 band when he was young :D

If this does happen...see you all at the usual/traditional Efests Sunday meet up spot!

For those who are not aware of this spot, its on the left side of the (4th) speaker stack on the far right of the field (if looking at the stage). The one nearest the Mandela Bar. Does that makes sense? Couldnt find a decent pic to demonstrate.

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
