Glad to see the efest love proved to be magical again, Although I don't do facebook and couldn't get on here for I did see the same love reflected on Twitter ) it really did give me cheer to be helped and to help others!

it was amazing the way everyone was helping each other yesterday. facebook was mental with all the messages and frantic ticket buying.

me and rexclark managed to get our own tickets and a few others, although the 3 extras we got for other people seems like nothing in comparison the 30+ that some people got!

efest is a great place to make friends. i've been to loads of efest camps, meets and nights out over the 5 years i've been using this site and have made loads of great friends and memories.

festivals wouldn't be the same without efests. :D

i also met my boyfriend through this site.

this site has had such a positive impact on my life and i know it has for a lot of other people. all the people on here maoning about the site crashing, people helping others buy tickets etc.. they're just ungrateful and probably a bit stupid.

I'd also like to thank fellow efesters, mainly Rachelbon, Rexclark and Paul for sorting out my girlfriend, my brother and myself with tickets when we were begining to lose all hope of getting through :)

I've meet many fellow efesters both at festivals and at the Glasgow meets and never been let down, whether that be for gig tickets, festival tickets, advice or just general cheering up and yesterday proved that again. It was fantastic to see facebook come alive with various efesters on my friends list offering help and advice :)

Also, thanks to Phil for helping me keep a PMA

I would say another good thing about all this happening is it will encourage more people to throw themselves into the efest community seeing as how succesful we all were yesterday.

Many of the people I was facebooking yesterday I met for the first time in the last year, a lot of them I only met 2 weeks ago at Alchemy.

It was obvious that Glasto was important to people yesterday, but what became really apparent was that it was important because of the people you associate with and associate it with. Otherwise, why would you stay on line for hours after you and your immediates were sorted?

It was great to see the genuine concern about other people maybe not going and surprising to me just how much I cared about folks I've known a fortnight not going. I actually held a page open for one guy to get back to me knowing my niece may not be able to go if I screwed it up. Anyway I think rexclark is right, it is a great little community.

I just want to say a big thank you to everybody I was chatting with on facebook. The friends I have made on these forums who I am now friends with on facebook really pulled out all the stops to help everybody. It was a real team effort and I'm honoured and grateful that you are my friends. I can't wait to share a couple of pints of cider with you all in a field in Pilton next year. B)

Big shout out to Debbie who got my ticket aswell as for lots of other friends :)

Without facebook today I think my luck would have ran out and my hair gone grey!

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
