each time I've seen Steel Pulse, I've been gutted that at best they've played only part-songs (in a medley) from their album 'Handsworth Revolution'.

I'm guessing that they see that as old hat, and want to give the crowd their newer stuff, the rotters. Their new stuff is OK, but it's not Handsworth Revolution. :P

Slightly off topic , I am always gutted I go and watch the Arctic Monkeys , this came to head at

Leeds last year , when we decided it would be more fun to go to the indie disco and dance to

Arctic Monkeys tracks than watch them live.

:P

A lot of Radiohead ones that I would have loved, but didn't expect- electioneering, nice dream, how to disappear completely, knives out, morning bell, myxamatosis...

A lot of Muse's older stuff which has been dropped from their sets recently. Would loved to have seen Ian Brown do either I wanna be adored or I am the resurrection.

Bigger disappointment if not liking good music early enough in my life/not having the money to go to a lot of big gigs/not being born earlier. If I don't ever get to see McCartney or Bowie I will not be happy with myself.

Crosby, Stills & Nash - last year. Iwas really looking forward to Suite: Judy Blue Eyes and they didn't play it. I was very upset but then when I read Q later they listed it as part of the set sio now I worry that I missed it somehow

saw the dandy warhols few years ago at V just to see 'bohemian like you' (which is pretty much their only known song) as it was a song I loved when I was younger and was the song of a summer holiday for me, and they didn't play it :P

I suspect that their contract might well have stipulated that they didn't play it .... after all, why would a festival sponsored by V Mobile then want an act to have everyone thinking "Vodaphone"?

james are the worst for setlists, they could belt out an amazing greatest hits set, yet they choose to play mostly new songs. sure both times ive seen them theyve played sit down and laid. but its still missing born of frustration, come home, waltzing along, destiny calling etc. etc

also muse miss out alot of old stuff but when i saw them they played dead star.

the streets didnt play has it come to this when i saw them either :P its their best song by miles aswell.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
