This is just a thought. Even know Vampire weekend played the other stage in 2007, do you not think they could try out their new material as a special guest?

Acts I would love to see there and who I feel are quite suited to the Park Stage:

Of Montreal

Kimya Dawson

Mumford and Sons

Giant Drag

Future of the Left

Broken Social Scene

Deerhoof

Slow Club

Bearsuit

The Concretes

I absolutely adore the Park Stage, I've had some of my most amazing Glasto experiences up there. We always camp the top end of Pennards and its so easy for the evening, and for first thing performances. I've especially enjoyed St Vincent, Los Campesinos, Dizzy Rascal, Edwyn Collins and Gruff Rhys up there in the past 3 years. LONG LIVE THE PARK!

Wasn't that 2008? I really hoped they'd play last year, especially as they were supporting Blur a week later but sadly not to be. I think they've got new material out at the end of the year so let's keep our fingers crossed. Vampire Weekend headlining the park would be amazing!

Also, i think much of the improvement of the park this year was due to reorientating the stage. It meant the crowd spilled back up the hill and didn't block access for those coming in from the stone circle. Spent a lot of time sat up on the hill there on the saturday this year trying to find some breeze to stay cool!

    • I saw that the payment method is contactless wristbands - I understand you collect them at the festival site and can top them up there as well? Yes, there are top up points, keep the recepe if you want to withdraw the money in the end   How much does food and drink usually cost at the festival? We would like to know how much money we should prepare for the festival. Beer, Wine etc. 5€, Gin tonic, Whishkey Cola were 6-6.5€, food 10€    Is there a bus from the festival site to the city center? And are there any stops along the way? No offical info yet, but ussualy there are free festival buses from Ljubljanica to festival site, with few stops on the way. Nice to get to the festival but crowded from festival back to the city.   Where is the best place to find an Uber/Bolt to return from the festival site? Petrine ulica   Are there any shaded areas to take a break from the strong sun? Yes, i think there is some.
