Gotta say it was crackin weather indeed even if it was a bit of a roaster but hey, musn't grumble! I'd rather have sweatty bollocks than muddy bollocks.

Quality mate!

Possibly the best glasto yet!

Not one drop of rain at Glastonbury-who'd have thought it? The hottest Glastonbury I have been to by far. It did get unbearable at times especially around midday. Hung around in the shade during those times. It was so hot the suntan lotion I was wearing didn't seem to work...

Spent Wed -> Thurs constantly saying how lucky we were to be having this weather... then by Sat I started to struggle with it a bit, made it tricky to see some acts. Had to leave West Holts because the sun was right behind the stage. I definitely noticed that people's moods starting to get a bit prickly by the saturday. Over heard quote: "Fcking hell Sally, it's hot for everyone, deal with it". :D

There were definitely points in the weekend when i thought that the NRNC crew might have overdone it slightly!

I found mid afternoon hard work and saw less bands than I would've done even in a muddy year. However - by Saturday i realised that this was leaving me more energy for the night time and enjoyed the delights of Sjangri -La etcc to a much greater extent. I have come back feeling less wasted because I drank so much less alcohol than usual, and all in all - yes - I would take that every year.

I plastered factor 30 on in the morning and didn't burn and we all started to just give each other tent showers by pouring water over each other to get clean (so much grubbier than a muddy year!). It was really simple and refeshing and i don't know why we've never done it before - Oh I do - it's never been warm enough before!

I stopped drinking on Sunday and stuck to water - something that wouldn't have crossed my mind otherwise, and it definitely sorted me out.

Even so, I remember the sun going behind a cloud near the start of Seasick Steve and thinking "that is bliss", which is massively ironic when you think normally there'd be a massive cheer when the sun comes *out* from behind a cloud!

Can I just say a big thank-you to the whole NRNC crew. I don't know what it was that worked, but whatever it was, please do it again next year. To those who have this strange deviant view that it was somehow too hot, harden up, drink some water and get a fan next time B)

i think i saw less bands cos of the heat than i do in m*ddy years! not complaining though. the novelty of wearing flip-flops round the site and being able to sit anywhere were worth it. even if i was a sweaty melted mess incapable of speech mostly.

as soon as i heard england had drawn germany in the cup i had a wry old laugh to myself. there was only gonna be one result with all that german weather!

we do maybe need to rethink our nrnc cloud policy for next year though. :P
