JACKONE has done most of his forecast. Good news, basically sunshine and some cloud (Wed eve into Thursday) but pretty much no rain until Saturday and Sunday when thundery showers might make an appearance.

I'm cautious because the swamp of 2005 happened on a forecast of thundery showers, but that was Friday morning rather than Saturday afternoon or Sunday. If worse comes to worse I can cope with a bit of m** late in the weekend.

The ensembles seem to be essentially dry all the way through with only a little wetness on Sunday. Out of the years i've been watching the models etc (05, 07, 09) this is by far the best forecast of the bunch.

Bit concerned that this has dropped over to the second page, i don't think we can afford any complacency at this stage.

We need to close this thing out. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon, but until then I suggest as many of us as possible continue to obsess over the remaining - barely understood - weather reports between now and kick off.

EDIT: I'm posting pictures of Germans and I genuinely don't even know why. Where did this come from?

Just a quick reminder that I am watching you lot and will not allow anything stupid being said!

We will not be making any compromises where the weathers concerned. Even Sunday showers are not welcome. Typical British attitude to start handing over our well earned sunshine and dryness cause we think were lucky to have no r*** for 4 days.

Stay positive, stay strong. Do not surrender!

In the time honoured tradition of Mr Eavis I would like to declare this the best weather thread ever. Well done everyone but special credit must go to Mr Wolf for his popularising of the NRNC party. If there must be bloody flags I hope to see as many as possible with that on them.

I have made my sacrifice to the weather gods by finally giving up on finding my trustee Karimoor and going out on Sunday - a hot sunny day - and spending a stupid amount on a North Face Gortex jacket. Our group have consulted this evening and decided that if this is not sufficient we are happy to sacrifice one of our friend's children.

Stay strong people, we're not there yet but it ain't half looking good. And no I don't mean the Bavarian ladies.
