Has anyone watched 'The Americans'? Spy thriller about a couple of KGB agents operating in DC during the 80s. Supposed to be very good. First series has just finished in the US

I watched it. It was OK - decent enough but didn't live up to the hype. Personally I found it to be the kind of show that you'll enjoy watching while it's on, but the second the episode has finished it goes straight out of your mind never to return*.

* apart from 1 or 2 really obvious plot holes which annoyed me.

I like Banshee but not impressed by Hannibal. A shame really as I am a real fan of the books but this is shit. However Hugh Dancy does play Will Graham more to the manner that William Petersen did in Manhunter, which was nice.

I watched 1 hannibal and thought it was shite.. Ive watched half a banshee (nodded off) and thought it was OK, I intend to finish that one off and maybe carry on.

Has anyone been watching revolution? I had it stored on sky plus. Watched the first episode and found it a bit dull, also found the characters forgetable. Is it a grower or should I give up?

It's very pedestrian - I've stuck with it, as it's not terrible, but not amazing. More curious as to where they go with it. But agree, the characters are very bland.

GoT is building up isn't it? I read the books over the winter and it has not spoiled my enjoyment, although I have to hold my tongue in the house.

After this there are only 2 completed books and 2 unwritten so it is starting to catch up with itself. Martin has already said the final book will not be ready in 3 years time so that will be interesting.

Isn't this series only the first half of the thrid book? So there are actually 2.5 written books after this series. The 5th book is divided in two as well, so I reckon that will span 2 series as well.

I've just finished the second book. I am going to hold off on starting the third one until the series has finished otherwise I am just going to get confused. Especially as things happen in a different order in the books and TV series.

Finished first series of Newsroom last night - next series needs to take itself waaaaaaaay less seriously.

Started Love/Hate which looks very promising!

Still loving GOT and we found a new Modern Family to watch last night which I've really missed!

Mad Men seems to have completely gone off the boil this series, feels like last series of Walking Dead where I'm willing myself to stick with it to the end! It's also been slow but it feels particularly meandering at the mo.

No one has mentioned "The Fall" starring Gillian "Scully" Anderson. I'm really impressed with it. Its on BBC2 on monday night, the first 2 eps should still be on iplayer, 3rd is on this Monday.

The Fall is really good - though seems to be full of Hollyoaks actors - think I'm up to at least 4 of them!

Banshee - I'm not sure on yet, it has potential, but the story is a bit weak.

Looking forward to the new seasons of Mad Dogs and Continuum.
