t8yman
Homeland ep 2 was fucking brilliant. Dexter- I'm not so sure..........
t8yman
dexter spoilers ahead - don't read if you aren't up to end of episode 2. I'm just not happy with it. There's no way Deb would deal with the situation like this. The bloodslide plot is going to develop nicely, with Dokes obviously being "not guilty" to LaGuerta, she is gonna dig like fuck. I hope the series becomes a bit more plausible because its frankly ridiculous at the moment.

G-Stud
Really enjoying new Red Dwarf Glad it's back to how it should be - apart from the fact that even Kryten is looking his age
Rufus Gwertigan
Really enjoying new Red Dwarf Glad it's back to how it should be - apart from the fact that even Kryten is looking his age I caught this myself last night and I am glad I did. The changes to the set give it the feel of the first 2 series. I am glad it is in front of an audience as well. It all seemed really natural rather than forced in the dreadful Back to Earth. Purple Monkey
I caught this myself last night and I am glad I did. The changes to the set give it the feel of the first 2 series. I am glad it is in front of an audience as well. It all seemed really natural rather than forced in the dreadful Back to Earth. Yeah I think Back To Earth was just compromised too much from a complete lack of a budget. Red Dwarf X is pretty good though. Really enjoying it. There's sod all else on TV making me smile and laugh quite so much. Love how they're all right back in character - particularly Chris Barrie as Rimmer. Really has the feel of the old series - self contained stories on board the ship. No Starbug, no time travel crap, just them trying to get by on a bucket of bolts in deep space. I wonder if they will explain where Kochanski went, where the crew went, why Rimmer is a hologram again, how Red Dwarf itself is still there etc. it's not really necessary I guess, almost like how they didnt need to explain the drastic changes from 2-3 (which they did in 3's opening scrawl) but it would be nice. Seems like the Kochanski from 7-8 is missing, not dead? I always thought it was weird how they dropped the whole thing about her trying to go home to her proper reality. She was a snobby unfriendly version of the one we saw in Series 1 (who always seemed to be really into Lister - she marries him in a future seen in Stasis Leak which I'll assume has been aborted) so again they could just say she found a way home to her Lister and our Lister's Kochanski is still very much a pile of Daz, that would do. If they end it - and I hope they do, it has to end with Lister on Fiji, it just has to. Edited October 13, 2012 by Purple Monkey
LondonTom
Really need to actually watch Red Dwarf X...just not got round to it yet! Tomorow maybe! Glad to hear its back to the good stuff though Think the new series of the Thick Of It (was two weeks behind but caught up this week) has finally got into it's stride now! Really back to what it made it brilliant

LondonTom
Rimmer has always been a hologram though hasn't he? Nah for the last season when they was back on Red Dwarf proper he was "human" again but I guess that's debatable as they was all rebuilt by the nanobots(I think that's what they are off the top of my head). Purple Monkey
Nah for the last season when they was back on Red Dwarf proper he was "human" again but I guess that's debatable as they was all rebuilt by the nanobots(I think that's what they are off the top of my head). Quick possible explanation and handy plot hole patch: Lister and Co found the nanobots (maybe some were still in Lister's blood since they rebuilt his arm and Kryten figured that's where they were). They tell the nano bots to destroy the virus that was wiping out Red Dwarf and put everything back the way it should be - so the robots do just that, taking it literally, destroying Rimmer in the process (and the crew) once again. The hologram in Series X is just a duplicate copy of the one that left to be Ace and so retains what little growth of that character he went through while dead, along with memories. Kochanski ran off to follow a link way trail back to her dimension and they lost her. Senile Holly was put back in charge but the bath incident from Back To Earth wrecked him. Maybe they're leaving it open for the fans to interpret how they like. Edited October 15, 2012 by Purple Monkey

gary1979666
Have to say Person of Interest is getting a bit dull after a few episodes. Very samey. Have Life starting this week - not seenn it before, but another big role for Damien Lewis in the US. Loving Homeland, Continuum, Warehouse 13, Red Dwarf, Alphas, Hunted, Criminal Minds. Purple Monkey
Ok last episode of Red Dwarf seems to have me confused. Why would you teleport back to Earth and then not be amazed by that? Granted they were in the wrong time - but they suddenly had a teleporter back to Earth. The only justification for going back was finding Kochanski. Also - while it's a gag I know, but spending six months traversing the globe on foot would have had a significant effect on the crew, especially during such a hostile period in history. You'd be a radically different person by the end. Earth would suddenly be home again and the thought of returning to Red Dwarf would be a very strange thing to do. I know I should let it go but Red Dwarf needs to sort it's plot holes out before it starts tearing whole new ones. Maybe that's the joke, oh well. I really enjoyed Life. There is a good running story line that does not take over many of the episodes. Arrow starts tonight and I have the first episode of Elementary to watch. Its the Sherlock Holmes thing with Jonny Lee Miller but based in New York
