  1. It was my 14th Glastonbury, can't say that it appeared any busier than 2017 or 2019. Got caught in one crush near the other stage but nowhere near as bad as previous years. Had an awesome time, avoided the well known crush points, Arcadia, WG on Thursday, SE on Saturday night. I think some of the over reaction is down to people not being used to crowds and lots of first timers chasing the big acts
  2. I feel fine but my wife tested positive this evening so I've done an LFT. First time it's ever had the two lines, managed to avoid it even when working on the COVID testing sites. Just a little tired like I am after most festivals. We're the first two out of our group of 24 to test positive!
  3. Monday morning, saw two men in their late 50's dumping a single mattress in one of the rubbish points in CVE. It really spoilt my final morning, to see two grown men acting like fucking teenagers. Absolutely selfish c**ts. Surely if you bring a mattress in a van, you can take it home.
  4. This is for two; 64 cans of ale, mainly Vocation, Northern Monk and Buxton but with a few alternative choices 1 litre Pimms 1 litre Army and Navy Vodka 3 bottles of rum 2.25 litres red wine
  5. Thank you, @Crumbleflaps 🤣
  6. I hope so. Really intrigued by how it will all look, just hoping the technology they're using for transactions, works. It's been my favourite festival since I first went in 2016.
  7. I'd say it was about the same, they're my two favourite years. I love it when it's sunny
  8. I would love it to be like 2019, it was an awesome year weather wise.
  9. Depends which CV ticket you have, it will say quiet or general. Shouldn't make much difference, the loudest of our group have quiet tickets because they believe it to be closer to the gate.
  10. Always been in West CV before and can honestly say in the three years we were there, I never had anything searched.
  11. That was 2005, 2007 was the worst year out of my 13 visits. Made 2016 look easy!
  12. Just got back from Bearded Theory and at least one of our group has contracted Covid from there. Somesome form of cough people will definitely get Covid at Glastonbury, inevitable with the best part of 300 thousand people on site. In the years before Covid, I often picked up some form of cough or cold at Glastonbury. Came down with something horrible after the 2019 event.
  13. Fri - Paul Heaton, if I can get in after Sam Fender finishes Sat - Macca Sun - Suzanne Vega, or Yola and just head to SE Corner early
  14. Loved it as always, only small gripe was the Woodland queue. If you're going to do it, at least have some food stalls in there. It was a massive gamble going out to get food as to whether you'd get back in. Missed most of Jess Silk because of this whilst me family were all inside. Musically I wasn't that interested in much this year. There was only Dubioza and Frank Turner, and he clashed with the Liverpool game, that I was desperate to see. However, I heard some amazing music. Enjoyed Dub Pistols on the Thursday but then realised there was no way we were getting into Woodland for Craig Charles. I thought Placebo were really boring, I was looking after my grandson so that my son and his parner, who were both massive fans, could see them. They weren't overly impressed either. Glad we went to see the Swingers instead, although I would have loved them to be on even later, they were just my type of band for the early hours. Didn't try to get in to Wilko but he sounded great from back at the campervan. Saturday, The Horse Puppets were awesome and my festival highlight was seeing them practising at the busk stop before the Maui Waui performance. Absolutely blissful 20 minutes sat in the sun. Wish I'd have dragged myself out to see them play the Woodland stage as well. Gaz Brookfield was lovely, as always, and The Sunday finish of Selecter, Hives (fun but a bit too much filler) and Flaming Lips was great. Really glad I stayed for Lips rather than Neville Staple. I thought it was just a joyous 90 minutes. I didn't know many songs but I loved it. Caught the back end of 2 of their sets in the past at Glastonbury and thought they looked fun, but the albums just don't do it for me. Really glad I experienced a full set. I love the festival, the crowds are amazing. It is definitely the most chilled of all the festivals I've been to and will still be the first festival in my diary each year.
  15. I admit I'm a bit sad. But really excited that we have a Vocation bar and a Magic Rock bar in the arena. Can't wait to see what they're stocking. Less than 2 days to go!
  16. This is my favourite, a freebie from the Times from years ago, probably listened to it more than I have any NGHFB / Oasis / Beady Eye album. Love it, maybe it's the inclusion of a duet with Weller on the Butterfly Collector.
  17. This is one of my regular haunts, love the Park in the early hours
  18. Another sufferer here, mine definitely eases with movement. First thing on a morning is the killer. Like Pilton Digger, standing still is definitely the worst for me. First bout was in 2014 and I didn't attend in 2015. Not related. Second slipped disc happened during the first lockdown and I think it would have meant me missing Bearded Theory, not sure it would have stopped me going to Glastonbury. I would have just taken it easier, seen more of the Cabaret and Circus and not walked the 20-25km a day we did in 2019. Once it's settled down, I have found the Renpho massage gun really good for relieving sciatic pain/ Hope you manage to make it
  19. I was really hoping for Kid Kapichi, they're playing Kendal the same weekend. So far enjoying Spyres and Stanleys, who I now remember I saw supporting the Lathums. I'm sure they'll be a few more I fancy by the time we get to July.
  20. Allotment stage, any recommendations?
  21. I must be in the other 50% of males there, I'm a bald headed average sized bloke, albeit in a kilt.
  22. They've had Lukas on each of my visits, so fully expecting them to have it again

@PipineJust checked then out, turns out I saw quite a few Phlegm works over the weekend. They're really impressive I much prefer street art to art galleries. I've been fortunate to see a lot of street art around the world, my favourite so far is DJ Lu, a Colombian artist. Well worth checking out if you like your street art
