  1. This is my local, well that and the House of Trembling Madness. I've had numerous variations of Tonkoko, Emperor and Empress, some in bourbon barrels, but still prefer the original. As regards price, I bought a case of 24 X Tonkoko from Morrisons last year for just under £30.
  2. Only seen it in Berlin, it was good, as is the pineapple, but the grapefruit is my favourite.
  3. Interested in how this tastes, I love Vault City, but that one might be a step too far. Although I was partial to both their Tunnocks tea cake one and the Iron Brew one.
  4. I have a case of this packed! When my wife introduced it to me I almost fainted. A fiver for a pint of shandy! However, I am a convert now (it's much cheaper in cans). It does my break my original rule for beers at Glastonbury, which was nothing under 6 per cent. Now we are in the campervan, I'm not as strict and Schofferhofer is my 'breakfast' beer of choice. Have you tried the Pomegranate version and the pineapple version?
  5. We have very similar tastes in beer. Faith and Hop,Skip and Juice are always in my cupboard. Vocation also do some incredible deals direct.
  6. I had the Endless Summer whilst at BT, it was my favourite of the ones I tried. To be honest the range at BT wasn't as good as usual. For example they only had a single beer from Brew York, Tonkoko, and that was the one I took with me in cans. They had two from Black Iris, so the poster made it look better than it was.
  7. 20 is too cold, I like 26-27, specific I know. Enjoyed Boomtown last year(over 30 each day), but I know I was in the minority.

    The churnups

That's the upside for me, not bothered by FF, so will now get to see Jamie Webster and lottery Winners at Avalon. I was forgoing Thom and the gang so I could get a good spot for Pulp. Silver linings and all that

    The churnups

Not every fan, I've yet to see them give a lively Glastonbury set, thought both 2007 and 2013 were a bit meh. They have the songs but not matched by their performances. I'll be there, mainly due to not a lot else appealing, and the fact the current tour is attracting generally positive reviews. But I've found them really hit and miss over the 15+ years I've been watching them.

Not sure why you can't compare them, it's only 2 festivals since they headlined. Came on as a guest for McCartney, Chris Martin was pilloried for a similar record. Controversial on here, but I'd prefer it if it was Coldplay. Will probably be at the Foos because there's not much else that grabs me in that slot, bit gutted it's not Pulp.
  11. Never too early, it really was a fantastic festival. Can see our group being over 20 strong next year.
  12. Strummerville for Lottery Winners and Hak Baker and then Slamboree and Wheel of Four Tunes.
  13. Thanks for sharing, that makes a bit more sense now. especially why one of the beers was out and then came back on. I'm sure that they could have had more than one bar serving range of real ale. I'll jut remember to pack more beer next year.
  14. This was our 7th visit, and probably the best yet. All of the changes worked a treat. Loved the addition of the new tent, even though I only went to two shows there, the excellent Kid Kapichi and Holy Moly. The wood land was as chilled as ever and none of the problems from last year. The line up wasn't a classic one for me (I know I'm in the minority), but I was never bored and probably spent more time in the arena than ever before. Enjoyed the bit I saw of the Go Team, wish I'd seen more. Primal Scream were on form, the last time I saw them was Glastonbury 13, and they were terrible. Food places were good, toilets were the best I've ever encountered and everything was incredibly well organised. The crowd was as usual, awesome. Never met a friendlier crowd anywhere, and love all of the costumes. As someone said before, like a mini-Glastonbury. It's the first date into our diaries each year, but we were unsure with the new ownership, but we'll definitely be buying early birds. See you all next year. Only one slight gripe. I didn't think the beer choice was great and that the poster led me to believe that there would be more options. The bar near the Rum Shack had a few decent beers, but a lot sold out quickly. It would have been nice to have that choice at the Woodland as well.
  15. I'm the same regarding 2022, it was an awesome lineup for my taste, loads of acts I'd discovered over lockdown that happened to be playing. Unfortunately, my new finds for this year aren't playing, as of yet. So not expecting 2023 to be a classic music year. Really looking forward to spending more time chilling with our group. I think there will be more time in the theatre and circus areas, not done that since we used to take the kids. The line up so far hasn't got any of our group excited, so we'll probably see a lot more music together which will be a bonus. Ups and downs, hopefully a few surprises still to come. It'll still be my favourite week of the year by miles. Can't wait!

Not sure. But there are also bands like Bull, Corella, Bilk, Millie Manders, Casino and the Clause, who all have more material and have actually toured, that might.

Seemingly so, although I quite like the song, I'm still baffled as to how they get the nod over others. I was hoping for any of Reytons, Lathums, Red Rum Club, K's, Andrew Cushin, Reverend, Vistas and quite a few others. All of whom have been busier and, actually released music!

    Are the Lathums playing?

I appreciate that, but have they done any shows outside London? Some of my favourite bands in the North have done sold out tours and had number one albums but haven't managed to get a slot on that stage, which is probably the natural spot for a first Glastonbury appearance, especially now Williams Green is no longer running.

I'm with you, never been as underwhelmed as this with only 6 weeks to go.

Not sure why, a single song on Spotify. Disappointed that they have a slot when harder working bands haven't been announced. Snacks of having the right type of PR!
  22. They were good fun at Bearded Theory last year.

    Avalon 2023

I agree, they're a great live band but when they played a Glastonbury last time, there were barely a hundred people in the tent and the material they were touring then was far superior to the current album (in my opinion). It'll be busy as they have a loyal fan base but hardly anyone I know has heard of them and I've been banging on about them for 5+ years. I think Avalon is the right size for them at this stage of their career.
  24. Not sure his politics have changed much in the 10 plus years I've been listening to him. Not sure how that makes his political views dated, they are very much in line with loads of people at the festival. Not sure which of his viewpoints are cringe worthy? As for that set, I loved it and I think the last album was the best one he's released
