  1. I'm exceptionally glad that you did, that is awesome, really enjoyed
  2. They call it a tour on their website. Dates for Vegas are beginning of May and beginning of August
  3. Really hoping that the B 52's farewell tour makes a stop on the Farm. It would make my wife's festival. They have a big gap in their tour for June / July, could that be for the festival circuit?
  4. 6. Was at the Sheffield show last night, a fantastic show, great setlist, enthusiastic singalongs. Only downside was a slightly static crowd. They would be an amazing act to have on the pyramid before Elton.
  7. They play the odd gig, played Hebden Bridge in February.
  8. Another electrifying gig by the Reytons at Newcastle, great support from the Lottery Winners and the Clause, I'd go see all 3 on the Farm
  9. The Snuts The Reytons The Interrupters The Heavy Alabama 3
  10. My group are really up for this, probably the most excited I've been for a headliner since the Stones in 2013. Setlist looks good, couldn't stand his eighties stuff when I was a kid and his music was never played in our house. Cameron Crowe was definitely my introduction to Elton, I'd never heard Tiny Dancer before Almost Famous (one of my favourite films) and then discovered how awesome his material from the Seventies was.
  11. A bit meh for me and my group, it's a set of very underwhelming headliners.
  12. First Aid Kit at the Wardrobe in Leeds for the album launch. Absolutely beautiful harmonies, blissful from beginning to end, I'm genuinely jealous of those that have tickets for the remaining shows. Seen them numerous times before but this was on another level.
  13. The early stuff was good and the later stuff isn't. The end
  14. Loved episode 6, but it didn't make up for the other 7 wasted hours. Incredibly disappointing.
  15. I was watching the same and having the same thoughts. Would be amazing, I'd have him on the Pyramid as a headliner, far better than some of the headliners I've witnessed.
  16. Rogue One is my favourite film in the Star Wars universe, and unlike a lot of my friends, thought Andor was top drawer entertainment
  17. My wife and I loved it. Binge watched in two evenings.
  18. Kid Kapichi - Impressive second album and they played a little set at the Vinyl Whistle in Leeds. Love their acoustic numbers but can't wait to hear the new stuff played loud when they return to Leeds in February. Brooke Combe - A solid set, if a little brief, at Headrow House, Leeds . Didn't quite have the wow factor she showed at Glastonbury but loads of potential. Bull - Can't believe the change in their musical style since I saw them play at Galtres Festival 8 years ago. Great night and a fantastic audience. Full credit to them for only charging a quid entry, definitely made it the best value gig of the year. Top night. Next up Beth Orton next Sunday
  19. In my 5 visits, never seen anyone manning an eco bond stand. It will be interesting to see how well tickets sell. Hardly any of the crowd I went with this year are going for the early bird tickets, they are all waiting to see if they're successful with Glastonbury. Doing both Boom and Glastonbury next year will now be the best part of a grand before you even get on site!
  20. Just watched it. He covered off the issue with the bar staff with enough integrity to warrant my custom for another year. Roll on 2023, it's going to be a good one.
  21. Despite my reservations, I had an amazing time, for me it was more like my first visit in 2015, a wonderfully surreal experience. However this was even more fun. The mixture of a large group and a solid, but unspectacular, line up meant that it was party central for my festival family. Spent far more time together, it was awesome. My Sunday run of Abraskadabra, Oh my God! it's the Church, Molotov Jukebox into KOOL and the Gang was as good as any ive had at Glastonbury. My legs could definitely tell the following day! I'm with you in being more absorbed at Boom. I think a lot of that is to do with the crowd. Always loved how so many people have costumes, lights and glitter. It's an awesome spectacle in its own right. Had some beautiful moments at dusk, watching all these weird, wacky, wonderful individuals converge on Grand Central. This year's Glastonbury was up there with 2010 as my favourite. Each time I've done Glastonbury and Boomtown in the same year, Boom's been my favourite. This year it did it again! The only thing stopping me from definitely committing for next year are the stories about the bar staff. They said they'd sort that after 2019, but it appears they've done it again. If they're true, and Lak doesn't address it, I can't give them my money. I didn't use the bars, didn't drink anywhere near as much due to the weather. Did anyone on here speak to anyone? I trust this forum far more than the other social media.
  22. Well, that was awesome! Boomtown know how to put on a party. Loved every moment but have to admit, preferred the old layout. The walk from the campervan field, which for the previous 4 festivals had been a colourful, joyous meander was now just a trudge. Missed Lion's Den. On to the positive. What a crowd. The most colourful, creative audience. Saw so many amazing costumes. So many acts of generosity, it was life affirming. The lineup, whilst not as strong as my previous Boomtowns, was solid enough. But the late release of the line up meant that there wasn't time to research the band's playing. The wristband worked really smoothly, food options were great.Beer selection ,not so good. Set design was once again phenomenal. Old town was a joy, loved it around there. Thank you Boomtown and see you next year
  23. Slightly underwhelmed, some good bands but not many you would describe as headliners. I'll be busy enough but already feeling that if they go down the same route of not announcing the acts, it will be my final year. Most of the bands I'm interested in, I can see at my local venues for around a tenner. Hopefully the visuals will be off the scale, 'cause it's hard to see where the budget has gone. However, I have no knowledge of DnB and dance music, so maybe the budget has gone there instead. Still really excited though
  24. Is the line up only visible if you install the app?
