  1. I was the same with sours, and I'd say it's still 50/50 on one's I like / hate. Some of the ones Mrs Boomtowner likes are, in a word, disgusting but others are divine. Vault City and Brew York do some fabulous ones. The collaboration they've just done is fantastic, and it look like you're having your morning juice.
  2. That's a beer geek, I love it. Mrs Boomtowner is exactly the same. She's really hoping there will be a couple of sours on the menu this year
  3. It is ironic, I always take an interesting selection but usually bring some home. I never take anything back from Glastonbury or Boomtown. I think I only bought 2 pints at Glastonbury in 2019, some horrible beer there.
  4. It is, can't wait to see which beers they have. It is the only festival where I end up taking beer home. Just easier to buy at the bars and a glorious selection.
  5. He is a man with exceptional taste 😉
  6. That is definitely one of the better offer and a bargain for a beer of that quality. Morrison's are currently selling off this collaboration with Gweil-Lo for £1.50 a can (440ml), if you can find it, i's definitely worth it
  7. Just bought some of these for later on in the evenings, one of my favourite stouts. Worked out at £2 a can which I thought was a bargain
  8. One of my favourites, really hoping it's one of the beers they'll have on at Bearded Theory.
  9. Yola for me, never heard of her before, slightly gutted that I didn't stick around at Avalon in 2019 after Bar Stewards, when she played. Although none of my group are bothered, I will still probably see her at Leftfield. Sunday evening headliners are looking really poor so far, no interest in PSB or Kendrick.
  10. I enjoyed Barry, but Mr Inbetween was much more my sense of humour, a bit darker.
  11. Just finished the last season of Mr Inbetween, really enjoyed it. Made me laugh and cry.
  12. I love his music, was gutted when he didn't play in 2019. One of my mates in Florida, a guy in his sixties and an avid Springsteen fan, has been telling all of his mates in the States to listen, saying 'England finally has it's own Springsteen'
  13. It was just in the programme as 'Ska Heroes'. Looking back, it does show how eclectic the music was in Lost Vagueness.
  14. Madness and FatBoy Slim, IIRC, were secret sets in Lost Vagueness in 2007. Both probably bigger than MCR
  15. Any other insights? Have you seen a bar menu yet, I'm very intrigued
  16. I knew one, that made me feel younger 😉
  17. Yes, they were the last act I saw in 2019, think it might have been the Rocket Lounge, but was not at my brightest at that time.
  18. Saw them recently in York, one of their first gigs I think. Second set was far better than the first. They have potential, not sure they quite know their sound yet. Not quite New York Brass level just yet!
  19. Far too early to decide, not sure if any are nailed on as yet. Let's see what the next few releases throw up. I've been listening to Yola a lot this morning and I've gone from never hearing them before to them being on the seriously considered list.
  20. I'll be there most likely, always puts on a good show. And it looks like he's just before McCartney
  21. They had a coffee / breakfast place in CVW in previous years, no idea about CVE
  22. I know, but not on site, we'll be in CVE for the first time. Plus I can never be bothered to warm milk when camping, so condensed milk helps keep my coffee hot. Only any good if you like sweetened coffee.
  23. Moka pot and condensed milk for me, Vietnamese style. Not then having to worry about the milk going off by the weekend
  24. You're right about the legend slot, they'd be awesome. Definitely got the songs for it.
