    2022 Must Sees

Must sees McCartney, Diana Ross, First Aid Kit, Sam Fender Really want to see Holly Humbertone, NGHFB, Arlo Parks, Celeste Would like to see Skunk Anansie, Wolf Alice, Joy Crookes, Waterboys Maybe see Easy Life, Elbow
  2. The Thursday of 2019 was one of the busiest music days I'd had at Glastonbury in years, according to my clashfinder. Kicked off with Mik Artistik ay Croissant Neuf, then a bimble. Strummerville had a really good line up on Thursday. We made an afternoon of it and stayed from Broken Bones Matilda through to Frank Turner playing a not so secret set. Really enjoyed Ferris and Sylvester, Ten Sheds and Mrs Boomtowner enjoyed Johnny Lloyd. Watched New York Brass at the Rocket Lounge, Undercover Hippy played late, it was a great day

    Must Do's

There's a less flashy version of the ribbon tower in the Theatre Field, close to pedestrian gate C. Never a queue and it allows for really good photos of the Park and the sign. I actually prefer it to the views from the ribbon tower, mainly because you can get the Ribbon Tower in the shot.

    Must Do's

I've had these thoughts many times. No better place to have a Groundhog Day
  5. I love that spelling mistake, the thought of you resisting an exam
  6. Definitely not having that, he's far more talented than that group. Although I haven't seen him live yet, so retain the right to withdraw this statement later.
  7. I can't see that either, just expecting them to play somewhere
  8. I'm fully expecting the Specials to play somewhere. They're headlining Beautiful Days, the US tour finishes on the 19th June and they're playing 4 nights in Coventry in July.

    Beer Prices

Really value your insights @glasto-worker Is there a reason why there is such a lack of choice at the main bars and is there anything to stop a local brewer opening a stall selling their own beer, similar to a food stall. I saw one operating at a festival from a Land Rover and a trailer
  10. These are my thoughts exactly. None of my mates will be anywhere close to the Pyramid for Kendrick or Billie, which is a refreshing change. Will probably be at Macca for my first headliner there since 2016. Strange how things change, my first three or four Glastonbury's, I saw the Pyramid headliners on all three evenings.
  11. Wish this was at another time of the year. Far better line up than last year, and for me, far better than the one at Bearded Theory! It's just having Boomtown the week before would leave me pretty much useless.
  12. On a plus point, the Interrupters are playing Beautiful Days the following weekend, so I'm hopeful they'll be on the line up.
  13. I'm really unsure of the current direction the festival is heading, which is a shame as it is my favourite festival, sorry Glastonbury. The debacle over using a closed loop system for purchases seems against the ethos of the festival I fell in love with. And whilst I have discovered some amazing new bands at Boomtown, there was plenty of research time to listen to new music. This time I'm not expecting to gain much research time before the festival starts. ☹️
  14. I feel your pain, just finished listening to all of their songs 🤣 To be fair it only took 20 minutes
  15. Just listening to ' Too Late Now', definitely not a banger. I've liked bands after a couple of singles but tend to reserve my judgement until an album has dropped. Or they have more than 5 songs to their names!
  16. That's one of the bands I was thinking of , they've put in the graft and deserve a spot on the poster
  17. Hype doesn't equate with talent. So many one hit wonders
  18. I don't mind Chaise Lounge, but when I think of some of the bands that launched albums last year and played sold out shows, that haven't made it on the poster. Just my opinion but it's a bit like the instant celebrity afforded to X Factor winners
  19. Missing that was my biggest regret of 2019. It was my turn to go fill everyone's water bottles and I set off 20 minutes before they were due on by the time I arrived back there were only 3 songs left. Gutted was an understatement. I did manage to listen to them from the queue but it was still quite galling. I did consider just going back to watch but all my mates were really suffering from dehydration. Good job I've seen them many times before.
  20. I can't believe Wet Leg have made it on to the initial poster. Always thought that they would be there, but to put them on the first poster. It must be a real pisser for bands that are playing and actually have an album or two to play. Amazing what a bit of hype can do.
  21. We used to have a work around for this. We'd buy a campervan ticket for West and arrive Tuesday night, take everybody's tents in and set them all up. No queueing on a Wednesday morning at the West campervan entrance meant a pick of spaces and an easy set up, just a few quick trips back to the van. Going to miss West Campervan fields.
