tom22
Anyone got any clue on who will be opening up on Friday morning yet? Kaiser Chiefs last year were average, but did enjoy being woken up by Liam Gallagher swearing a lot and belting out some Oasis classics in 2013. Saw that Bastille were tweeting yesterday about being excited about going as punters, maybe they'll bring their guitars and take this slot? swede
Im not hoping for anyone huge like I have previous years. Someone like Haim or Courteeners.
Untz
Someone with a less offensive opening song than I Predict a Riot, thanks.
Bonehead> Clapton
i think the Libertines, Beady eye were great a couple of years back, but didnt even bother with kasier chiefs. Could hear them from our camp and thought fuck that.
Callum_96
My money's on Bastille, I did hear a rumour from someone involved in their management as well, but it could be a porkie
tom22
FWIW Bastille were bloody excellent in John Peel in 2013 I thought. Lack of much new material since then but the plenty of good tunes to get things started and they've done some collabs with Haim and others recently which would be good. Enjoyed Beady Eye for Oasis bits in 2013, he was and is a total muppet but still got some tunes in the bank.
Amy Lawn
Not enjoying these suggestions of Bastile and Courteeners, this thread used to be ambitious. I'm gonna go PRINCE or LED ZEP or TAYLOR SWIFT or NIRVANA FRONTED BY PAUL McCARTNEY!
Winslow Leach
Someone with a less offensive opening song than I Predict a Riot, thanks. Kaiser Chiefs opening with a song called I Predict a Riot. "Mr Simpson, this is the most blatant case of fraudulent advertising since my suit against the film The Neverending Story." carllucey
I don't want to live in a world that has Bastille in it.
Mezhyp1
Imagine it was actually Bastille, and the special guests opening the other stage 2015, are fucking Bastille Naaaaaaa can't be, il go for Slipknot
mb23
Libertines/Taylor Swift/Noel G would be nice.
Scotdy
I think most people thought it would be a massive act for the past two years and it has turned out to be an academy size band says it all. It was a brilliant idea when it started in the Park a few years back, but I would bet that the Other will be opened by Keane or The Darkness
AboutTime
I think Libertines might be a good shout?
Untz
Keane or The Darkness Don't be hysterical, please.
jed123
Saw that Bastille were tweeting yesterday about being excited about going as punters, maybe they'll bring their guitars and take this slot? The lead singer who actually is their twitter account goes every year as a punter - met him at Kate Tempest/Beans on Toast last year.. Doubt his attendance will mean they're playing Other Stage.. gluther
I'm thinking Frank Turner. He seems the type to do secret sets, he was rumoured and hasn't appeared on the first line up poster.
Space Shanty
Haha, Bastille... what a shocking proposition. Awful
Amy Lawn
2013 was supposed to be an Oasis reunion, but Noel got w*nkered in the SE corner on Thursday night and ended up not showing up so Liam had to improvise. 2014 was supposed to be Prince but he got cross because the Michael couldn't bring him a camel at 2am in the SE corner so the Kaisers had to be drafted in. This year Michael has pledged to make sure that zombie Kurt doesn't get in the SE corner, he's having a quiet night in the Greenfields so he can be up early for the Nirvana secret slot. Scotdy
Don't be hysterical, please. I will bet a few pints of cold Brothers that it's a band that would struggle to sell out an arena at this point in their careers even though they are a well known name. eFestivals
Coldplay. Those rumours of headlining must have come from somewhereI know exactly where they came from, and nothing about it suggests Coldplay would be playing anywhere else by headlining.
