if it turns out to be Mumfords headlining, and SOAD are a sub (to either Biffy or Eminem - could work either way) then that would provide to be a much stronger uppercard in my eyes. not to my taste - i hate Mumfords - but in terms of getting people to the festival it would work a lot better

I'm going with SOAD. Don't know where people are getting the idea that they aren't big enough; they've been headlining festivals all over the world over the last few years. They subbed Reading in 2003, but that was without comeback demand (which there ought to be plenty of still since they've only played the one UK show since reuniting, and that will have been two years ago by the summer) and that was also before they released Hypnotize and Mezmerize, two of their most successful albums which added a lot of the more popular songs to their catalogue.

let's remember as well guys, circumstances can change that ThrashHits, should they have been right and you have to give them some credit, if it is Biffy which we expect, they sounded and got it right. SOAD may have been headlining initially but another band they are gunning for agree and they agree the drop.
good to see your analysis is as poor as ever gazza.

I bet it turns out to be Metallica. Good ol' safe booking Metallica. Every five years like clockwork to remind people that Reading/Leeds can still rock.... And they leaked the Sabbath rumour to catch people off guard... Like "we might book a band who have not played in recent history... Lol jk, Metallica again bitches!"... Because that's how Melvin talks.
