I am hoping there is more than half a chance we might get the basement jaxx live show they toured a bit last year on the Saturday.

they are playing a Cotswolds festival on Friday, then Victorious on south coast on the Sunday

had a quick look and last year they played Fri/sat/Sun across the same bank holiday weekend so not unthinkable to do 3 days in a row. Granted two of those were at the same location on consecutive days though

im guessing they would still prob be just about big enough to headline , particularly if a strong undercard.

prob a bit too big to be taking up the 2nd stage headliner that leftfield and underworld have occupied in recent years

I would have thought Underworld have a bigger pull than basement jaxx, at least simular but could just be me.

Hoping for a good lineup, cracking day festival, skipped last year but been twice now and enjoyed.

could be right but I think the fact they have been away for a long time pre last summer , and they have come back with a big live production adds to the size/draw  of it.

they headlined some pretty large day events last summer (Cardiff blackweir, powderhan castle near Exeter), bigger than I would imagine underworld would do as their own shows outright

hope we get some news soon either way

I think Basement Jaxx are probably smaller than Underworld to be honest. It took Jaxx absolutely ages to sell their London festival shows out - the first crystal palace bowl night took months to sell and then they announced a second - both ended up on seatfillers in the end.

Underworld had a big boost from their boiler room show (about to do 15k in London and tickets are gold dust) - although Forwards was booked before that.

No idea. I'm fully stumped. Wolf Alice and Moby? David Byrne?

Non headliners - Antony Smzeriek, Getdown Services, Goldie?

I was so sure about The xx but Jamie's in New York.

BUT - if it's next week, there should be posters in the city already out. Fun game for the next week

EDIT: Soulwax would be a great fit.

Wolf Alice with Getdown Services as support would be class but don’t think it would fit completely with Forwards.

Surely far too big.

But I'm busy for every single one of their UK shows so am crossing everything for this to be the case

Its like a 40-50k park isn't it as a standalone show to complement Forwards. Perfectly feasible 🙂

Also busy for all of their shows - and this one 😞

Do we just think it's them because of the Disintegration-y backdrop?

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
