Weezer sounding great, seems kneecap have pulled a massive crowd

regardless of recent events Bob Vylan into Kneecap was always going to be busy because if you are a fan of one then you are more than likely going to be a fan of the other, almost no churn between sets whatsoever

Weezer great fun so far, delighted to see Dope Nose in the set! Watching The Script on my phone simultaneously and For the First Time seems to be a Glasto moment, the crowd singing their hearts out!

I saw them at DL a couple weeks ago and it’s nice to see a couple different songs in the set already! One of the best but most frustrating bands ever. At their best, they’re peerless. At their worst, well, the less said about that the better 😂

Sounding brilliant! Japanese Breakfast into Lucy Dacus in the sun would’ve been amazing

Totally agree and this is the sensible move in the heat. But, I just know I’d now be almost broken from the BV pit and getting ready to be finished off at kneecap🤣

That’s a good point actually, if I was there I probably would’ve missed her for Kneecap

Avoiding Weezer spoilers, because I’m catching them next week.

Watching Lucy Dacus instead, and it is very lovely.

Brandi Carlisle also sounded good, to my ears. Will have to catch up with Bob Vylan later - it sounds like that was a special set.

Ah goddamn - this Weezer set is the first one I've watched where I'm thinking "I really wish I was there"!

Just said exactly the same to my mate. I was there in 95 the last time they played. Them and Prodigy are the two must sees I’m gutted I’m not there for.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
