Don't think "my mate works for live nation just trust me bro" is a reliable source

I'm sure one of the guys including Judas Jeast is pretty reliable unless he isn't actually the one with the info. At this point though it probably doesn't look the strongest option that they are in Europe next year.

For the record, I was the Ghost guy, not GnR. My source seems much less sure this year though so mostly kept my mouth shut. I've all but accepted it's probably GnR purely based off the amount of people claiming to know it's them

When Slash mentioned they've got upcoming dates next year he only mentioned North America and didn't mention anywhere else

Not saying that GnR are playing or not but how does that rule them out at all? They havent announced European dates so why would they talk about them yet if they are yet to be announced? Is this another case like the Twisted Sister one where they were supposedly only headlining festivals because of an interview?

Neither Ghost nor GnR have anything announced or have even mentioned any possible European shows but we're all seemingly sure it's one of them

I didn't dispute that? Think you missed my point, which was about how huge the nu-metal era was, and that its having a revival atm.

Nah I got it but I think most will class the 80s as Metals peak. Nu-metal is like a sub genre really.

Not to knock either, my point was more that metal has it's peaks and lows and sometimes the festivals  will have to work round that.

GnR haven't announced a NA tour for next year either - Slash mentioned it for the first time the other day

In fairness Ghost have only announced NA dates and not mentioned Europe and yet that’s apparently evidence they’ll be playing, why is it different for GnR?

Yeah I don’t see how them not saying they’re doing Europe next year means they aren’t just that theyve not announced it probably waiting on the festivals.

The VIP terms for Ghosts tour said "not applicable for festival dates" implying they are doing festivals

As I said before GnR haven't announced a NA tour but said they are doing it - so surely they would mention EU?

The note "May not be used for festivals or promotional shows" only applies to the Member of the Clergy pass where you can go to as many shows as you want and makes it clear it's only for the North American dates announced so far and not for anything they may or may not do in the US later in the year.

"May not be used for festivals or promotional shows, as well as any other Ghost appearance not included in the tour dates announced on September 29th, 2025."

That's cause trunk specifically asked him about NA dates and Americans couldn't care less about shows in Europe

Slash said they will be on the road the whole year. They've pretty much been confirmed for monsters of rock in brazil in April 26

Fair enough there are some minute differences, but it seems like there’s some mental gymnastics going on here to justify the assumption they won’t be in Europe - omission is not the same as confirmation they won’t be there

ETA: I’m sure I’ve made this blatantly clear before, but there are few bands in this world I would want less at Download than GnR. Just not about to write them off based on hopium alone

Unrelated note, what's the story with the barrage of crypto scam threads coming into the download section? Could it be worth turning on admin approval given there aren't very many new threads made on here?

The moderation team will remove any that they spot, or if you could report them to us for removal please?

Many thanks!

seemed there were quite a few overnight/ this morning which I removed ... spam has been generally a lot lower lately @eFestivals should be able to put some blocks on key words that will mean those posts get flagged for approval

Exactly what nu would he talk about European dates to an American outlet 😂just because he didn’t say it doesn’t mean it ain’t happening (sadly)
